Lin Daiyu is from Yangzhou and Miaoyu is from Suzhou. Why are they all called "Twelve Women of Jinling"?

A Dream of Red Mansions has many aliases. Twelve Women in Jinling was told by Zhao Chuan, the first daughter of the twelve women in Jinling, so it was named Twelve Women in Jinling. But Lin Daiyu and Miaoyu are from Suzhou and Yangzhou respectively. Why is it included in Twelve Chai in Jinling?

On the surface, their hometown is not in Nanjing. The reason for this is the following:

First, judging from Cao Gong's vague spatial narrative, he regarded several vast places in the south as a dreamland. Jinling mentioned in the book is not a specific place in reality, but an old capital city in the south. Jinling means Suzhou, which means Nanjing, Suzhou and Yangzhou. Daiyu and Miaoyu should naturally be included in the Twelve Women of Jinling.

A dream of red mansions wrote from the first time:

Zhen, the first character in The World of Red Dust, lives in Renqing Lane, Shili Street, outside Gusu Factory. It is the location of the prototype of the character, the so-called official Gusu. On the side of JOE, there is a note: Twelve women are in the right place, so they use the truth.

The second time, it once again showed that Lin Ruhai, Lin Daiyu's father, was also from Gusu.

Second, the police fantasize about romance and injustice, and linger in this dreamland, which is "a good opportunity to visit before and spread acacia." It's no accident that I suddenly met you today. When the stone was about to turn into Baoyu, the ethereal reality said that there were "a bunch of spoony ghosts waiting there." It can be seen that twelve women were born for Jia Baoyu's human journey from the beginning. Naturally, where Baoyu is, these women are there.

Thirdly, Jinling Province at that time included and governed Su Yang. In the dreamland, Jing Xian explained the origin of this sentence to Jia Baoyu. It is very important that Jinling is not a city, but a province. There is no doubt that Su Yang, both close neighbors of Jianghuai, should belong to Jinling Province.

Xue Pan went to the south to do business, and he wanted to visit Jinling's hometown on June 67, and Yi Tu turned to Qingsi's hometown. He deliberately pinched his little portrait in the mud on the tiger hill, which should be by the way. Yangzhou, Suzhou is close to Jinling, but it is several hundred miles away. Judging from Cao Gong's vague spatial narrative style, it is very reasonable to write the three vast places in the south as a whole in a dreamland.

It has also been verified by relevant experts that Gusu was originally under the jurisdiction of Jinling in the Qing Dynasty. As the ancient capital of the Six Dynasties, Jinling has a vast territory, including Suzhou and Yangzhou, which should be much wider than other regions. Think about the Fifth Ring Road in Chengdu, the provincial capital, which has been built to Wenjiang Shuangliu.

As for the film "flowers of war", the Qinhuai scene played by Jinling women is the Suzhou Tanci in Suzhou Pingtan. Of course, it can't be based on this. Suzhou cannot be said to belong to Shanghai just because the Pingju artists perform in Shanghai.

Fourth, according to the old custom, the wife is the husband. If she is probably not from Jinling, then Li Wan, the daughter of Shi Jing University President imperial academy, is known as one of the twelve women in Jinling, just like the daughter-in-law of Qin Keqing, the adopted daughter of Zhongjingying Shulang.

Jia Min, Lin Daiyu's mother, is Shi Taijun's favorite little daughter. Lin Daiyu, by blood, is half the blood of Jia's mother. In addition, she was fostered in Guo Rongfu since she was a child, and was regarded by her grandmother as one of the "four pretty maid of Jia family", so it makes sense to call her a native of Jinling.

However, if Daiyu was still young when she entered Beijing, Miaoyu was an adult. Miaoyu, who was born in Yangzhou, didn't become a monk until 17 years old. How did she get into the twelve women in Jinling?

It's all about Baoyu. Miaoyu is a member of Daiyu, and Daiyu and Baoyu have a "pre-alliance of wood and stone". Although they did not form a secular husband and wife, they were spiritually unified long ago.

Fourth, there is a projection of the author Cao Xueqin's own life experience. The Cao family, whose ancestors weaved for Jiangning, should live in the land of Suyang.

Cao Yin was appointed as Suzhou Weaving, and later served as Jiangning Weaving and Huaibei Salt Inspection successively. He was also ordered by Kangxi to compile the Complete Tang Poetry and Pei Yunwen Fu in Yangzhou. Later, the Cao family went bankrupt, and three generations lived in Jiangnan for more than 60 years.

Therefore, the Jia family in A Dream of Red Mansions was also in Jinling. Later, his family declined and moved north to live. Like the Xue family who went to Beijing to visit relatives in the book, they all belong to the "North drift" family and are still deeply rooted in Jinling.

I don't think Lin Daiyu is among the "Twelve Women of Jinling".

In the novel, Lin Daiyu is the reincarnation of Xiancao, which is "wood", other women are the reincarnation of love and evil, and Xiancao is "water".

From beginning to end, the author did not regard Lin Daiyu as a skirt hairpin. She was brought up as a boy until she died. She has no sexual experience and cannot be regarded as a "hairpin".

As for "it's a pity to stop", it's a pity to sing. The jade belt hangs down the forest, and the golden hairpin buries the snow. In fact, it is only a description of Xue Baochai, not a joint biography of Lin Xue.

Moreover, the author distinguishes between "hairpin" and "jade". "Jade asks for a good price in the rafters, while women stay and fly". Lin Daiyu is neither a snob nor a married woman, so naturally she can't be selected as one of the "Twelve Women of Jinling".

First of all, in A Dream of Red Mansions, Jinling is a provincial organization, including Jinling and Suzhou.

Anyone whose hometown is in Jinling and Gusu is from Jinling.

Secondly, Lin Daiyu is from Gusu, not Yangzhou.

When Lin Ruhai was appointed as Yangzhou Salt Officer, he toured the salt empire. So the Lins were in power, that is, they moved to Yangzhou.

Let's take a look at the introduction of Lin Ruhai, Lin Daiyu's father.

As mentioned above, Lin Daiyu is from Gusu.

Lin Daiyu's mother died in Yangzhou.

Grandmother Jia met Lin Daiyu at the mansion. Daiyu introduced her mother's illness and treatment, as well as the process of dying and mourning.

Later, he died in Yangzhou, and Jia Lian and Lin Daiyu helped Ling to Suzhou for burial.

Xue Pan bought gadgets from Gusu, and Baochai gave some to Daiyu, which reminded her of her homesickness.

Later, Lin Daiyu died, and Jia Baoyu chased her to the grave to find Lin Daiyu. Someone asked Jia Baoyu why he was here.

Jia Baoyu said, find an old friend!

Q: Who is the old friend?

Baoyu replied, Gu Sulin and Daiyu!

All these indicate that Lin Daiyu is from Gusu.

The subject said that Miaoyu was from Suzhou.

Suzhou is Gusu.

There is also a girl from Gusu in the book. She is Xiangling.

Lin Daiyu, Miaoyu and Xiangling are all from Gusu.

What are the twelve women in Jinling?

P the magic fairy made the following explanation:

When the police fairy said you were saving, she meant Jinling. Because Jia Baoyu's hometown is Jinling. The four families are all from Jinling.

Twelve Women in Jinling records the fate of twelve women who originally belonged to Jinling.

Lin Daiyu and Miao Yu are both official figures of the twelve women in Jinling.

Xiangling is the vice book of Jin Chai.

Xiren, Qingwen and Xia Jingui didn't say their original places, but they were all in the twelve women's hair pins in Jinling, indicating that their original places were all in Jinling.

@ Runyang Yuen Long has been expecting you for a long time! Welcome to pay attention to forwarding! Welcome to leave a message for discussion!

I finished reading the book A Dream of Red Mansions in high school, and then I gradually fell in love with it. At that time, I liked several characters in the book, such as Lin Daiyu, Xue Baochai and Miao Yu, and I was familiar with these characters, so I dared to answer this question.

Regarding the selection of Lin Daiyu and Miaoyu in Twelve Women in Jinling, Mini magazine will analyze them from the following angles. Please see the judge, right?

Focus 1: Why are Lin Daiyu and Miaoyu included in the "Twelve Women of Jinling"

I think there are several reasons:

1. First of all, the most important reason

Fat batch: Suzhou is Jinling.

Zhi Yanzhai has a comment in "Ordinary Cases": "This book is also called Twelve Women in Jinling, and its name must be Twelve Women in Jinling. However, after a thorough search by the Ministry, there are more than 12 women in the upper, middle and lower classes. " In the 17th to 18th chapters of Chen Geng's "The Story of the Stone", when introducing the wonderful jade, he criticized that "twelve women always lead at the end of the tree, which are all careless. At the end of the police fantasy list, you will know that you are positive, deputy, deputy, three or four pairs. " According to this, some scholars have introduced that Cao Xueqin's Twelve Women in Jinling is divided into five categories, with as many as 60 people.

The first time, I wrote: that day, the land fell to the southeast, and there was a place called Gusu in this southeast corner. [Side approval of JOE: Jinling. There is a city called Nagato, which is the most prosperous and romantic place in the world of mortals. Zhen in A Dream of Red Mansions lives in Renqing Lane, Shili Street, outside the mayor of Gusu.

The second time, the author once again shows that Lin Ruhai of Lin Daiyu is also from Gusu: Lin Ruhai's surname is Lin Minghai, and the word is like the sea. [Jia Xu's side approval: Gaiyun is also a "teacher". Always secretly writing about Daiyu. ] is a criminal record and has now been promoted to doctor of Lantai Temple. [Jia Xu's eyebrow criticism: the official system follows the ancient name. What I like most is that this kind of thing is semi-ancient and semi-modern. There is nothing in things, and it must be reasonable and extremely mysterious and absurd. ] Ben Guan Gu Su [Jia Xu's side approval: Twelve women come from, so they use truth. ] Stone man, hand-picked by the salt patrol empire, has been in the party position for more than a month.

So this "Jinling" is Suzhou. Daiyu is naturally the twelve women of Jinling.

2. Secondly, the fake is true and true.

Characteristics of Twelve Women in Jinling: Daughter, choose the good and unlucky, and then list the main book, auxiliary book and auxiliary book. In these volumes, the daughters appearing in the Grand View Garden are the main ones. In addition to the girls such as Xiangyun, Baochai and Baoqin who appeared in A Dream of Red Mansions, there should be some big families and some unlucky good women in the social background at that time, but they were not recorded. True or false. This is a novelist's right, right?

However, these twelve women all died in Jinlingbo. Of course, it is impossible to verify whether the story happened in Beijing or Jinling. Cao Gong may be deliberately confusing us. When it is true, what is false is true.

Why is the capital of A Dream of Red Mansions in Jinling?

Beijing was the capital of the middle and late Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty. Can it be said that A Dream of Red Mansions satirizes the social darkness in the early Ming Dynasty? Obviously not in line with Cao Xueqin's life experience.

In fact, some details were deliberately omitted and modified to avoid being caught and criticized by the incumbent, especially when the literary inquisition rose. It is to confirm the author's sentence that "it is true when it is false, it is true when it is false, and there are times when it is not done."

Dig deeper, there are several small reasons.

Daiyu's mother is from Jinling.

Jia Min, the mother of Lin Daiyu, is the youngest daughter of Jia family and the apple of the old lady's eye. By blood, Daiyu is half the Jia family. At the same time, Jia Min told the children about Jinling etiquette very early, and introduced the relationship between various characters in the Jia family. I still remember that before Bao Dai became a monk, Mrs. Wang mentioned that "there is a personal devil in the family, just ignore him." At this time, Dai Yu asked "Only Yu Sheng Xiong", indicating that Dai Yu knew the relationship between Jia Fu very early and accepted everything in Jinling.

Daiyu grew up in Jiafu.

Daiyu lost her mother since childhood and has been growing up in Jiafu. She was in Jinling after her early death, which is one of the reasons why the author listed her as "Twelve Women in Jinling".

5. Mushi Meng Qian

The meeting with Baodai in a previous life doomed the saying that Dai Yu was still crying in this life. In addition, when Baoyu came down to earth, he once said, "A bunch of infatuated ghosts have unsolved cases." It can be seen that the birth of "Twelve Chains" was due to "Jia Baoyu's Travel Notes on Earth". Naturally, where Baoyu is, this group of spoony ghosts is there.

Point 2: Why are most of the twelve women in Jinling in A Dream of Red Mansions not Jinling women?

A Dream of Red Mansions, also known as Twelve Women in Jinling, has been emphasizing the concept of Jinling. But Jinling seems to be a general term here. Nanjing, Suzhou, Hangzhou and even Huaiyang all belong to Jinling.

According to Zhang Ailing's textual research, it seems that Daiyu, Baochai, Xiangyun and other consorts, including Xifeng and Qin Keqing's maiden, are all from Suzhou, but only Daiyu and Miaoyu clearly stated that they were from Suzhou in the book, and the proposition of "incompleteness" was established. "Non-Jinling Women" involves another issue, that is, the Grand View Garden, the main place for sisters to study, live and play, and Jia Jianing and Rong are both in Beijing. In places called Chang 'an, Du Zhong or Kyoto in the book, "not all" became "none", and they all became Beijing women. Then why not call it "Twelve Women in Chang 'an", "Twelve Women in Du Zhong" or "Twelve Women in Kyoto"? Except "Twelve Rings in Kyoto" sounds like a Japanese serial, which is not good! The rest are great.

Someone must have said it was named after the fairy sister Jing Huan. Yes, Jing Huanxian said a word to Baoyu: Baoyu was bent on seeing his hometown seal and didn't want to see anything else. I saw a big book on the cupboard over there, with seven words written on it: The Twelve Women in Jinling. Baoyu asked, "What are the official documents of the twelve women in Jinling?" "It is the first twelve-woman book in your province, so it is an official book," said the police phantom.

Some people say that "your province" mentioned in the fantasy of policemen and robbers is "Jinling Province", but this area including Jiangsu and Anhui was under the control of "jiangnan province" in the Qing Dynasty. Let's just say "Jinling Province" is "jiangnan province". So, the twelve women in the Red Chamber seem to be called twelve women in Jinling.

Wait a minute, the problem is far from being solved, and it is back to the starting point. The capital of the Qing Dynasty was Beijing (the capital), and the Grand View Garden, Jiafu and stories all took place in Beijing.

There are plots to prove it.

Lin Daiyu went to Jiafu for the third time, probably from Suzhou to Beijing by boat through the canal. "When she abandoned the ship and went ashore that day, there was a car waiting for Guo Rongfu to send a sedan chair to pull her luggage, and she waited for a long time." The next day, I got up and saved Jia, because when I arrived at Mrs. Wang's place, I was writing a letter in Jinling with Xifeng, and Mrs. Wang's brother and sister-in-law sent two daughters-in-law to talk. "。 Although Daiyu didn't know what had happened, Tan Chun and others knew that she was talking about Xue Pan, the son of Xue Gu's second aunt who lived in Jinling City. She killed someone with her family wealth, and now she should be tried under the Tianfu case. "

This shows that Jia's family is in Beijing, Lin's family is in Suzhou, and Aunt Xue is in Jinling. Later, the Hulu case was arbitrarily pronounced, and Xue Pan was acquitted and came to Beijing from Jinling. And said Jia Jiahe four families are moved from Jinling to Beijing, Jia Xu in the "official protection" section has Zhifuzhai re-evaluation comments:

After Ningguo and Guo Rong, there were * * * twenty rooms, except Ningguo and Rongqin sent eight rooms in Beijing, and now they live in twelve rooms. This is Jia's house!

After the bowling Hou Shangshu established Shi Gong, the room was divided into eighteen divisions. There are ten residents in the capital, who come from eight rooms. This is the historian!

After all, Qiu is in charge of the county king, and there are * * * twelve rooms in total. They are all in the second room, and the rest are in the country. This is the Wangs!

After the counselor, he is now Tang, the minister of the inner government, with eight rooms. This is the Xue family!

But this is what Zhi Yanzhai commented, not what the author Cao Xueqin meant, just like doodling when reading A Dream of Red Mansions, which is not credible.

This involves the dispute between North and South in A Dream of Red Mansions.

Is Beijing or Nanjing described in A Dream of Red Mansions? This argument has a long history. The evidence of the northern school seems to be sufficient. There are many others besides those listed above. For example, in Wang Xifeng's verdict, "I cried to Jinling"; The eunuch in the palace suddenly came to Guo Rongfu to deliver the message; Zhen Baoyu from Jinling came all the way to Jiafu in the north to visit Jia Baoyu.

There is an important reason for the southern faction, which most officials have seen, but most of them have turned a blind eye and failed to realize its great significance. After the next accidental understanding, I was shocked into a cold sweat! What is your Tao?

The second time, Mrs. Jia died in Yangzhou, Leng Zixing gave a speech in the mansion, met Leng Zixing, an antique dealer in Huaiyang, and talked to the mansion. Yucun said: I went to Jinling last year because I wanted to see the ruins of the Six Dynasties. I entered the Stone Town that day and passed by his old house. Ningguo mansion is on the east side of the street, and Guo Rongfu is on the west side of the street. The two houses are connected, accounting for most of the street.

The interpretation of this passage is: Jia's second house is in Jinling Stone City!

If I want to have a literary inquisition next time, this is a great opportunity. Cao Xueqin will temporarily settle Jia Fu in Beijing, only a stone's throw from the Palace, and then he will say that Jia Jia is in Jinling. Does that mean there are two in Beijing?

Do you want to rebel?

If Cao Xueqin knew this, he would be horrified. What he tried to avoid was politics. It is mentioned in JOE's ordinary book that this book dare not interfere with the court. Anyone who wants to use the court affairs only takes it out with a pen, and the furious dare not write his children's court affairs with pen and ink. I can't say I'm unprepared. Whenever Chang 'an is written in the book, it is called "Zhongjing" from ancient times to the present, and every family quarrel between Yugong and his wife is called "Zhongjing", which is untraceable in direction. Cover the state of the son of heaven, also when China, avoid "southeast northwest" four words.

It can be seen that Cao Xueqin wrote this book with great care. So, why are there such low-level mistakes and confusion?

This is the center of this paper's argument, and it is also the key to answer why the twelve women in Jinling are not Jinling women.

In my humble opinion, the original version of A Dream of Red Mansions may be called Twelve Chai in Jinling. At that time, Cao Xueqin had not yet arrived in Beijing, nor was he down and out. His life was good and he was in a good mood. The twelve women in Jinling written by him are all girls in Nanjing, brilliant, beautiful and romantic, and their characters are not yet full. We can see some clues in JOE's book, but JOE's.

Later, when Cao Xueqin arrived in Beijing, his property was robbed, leading to poverty. Cao Xueqin only has anger. Of course, angry eyes reveal angry thoughts. He involves the royal family in his novels in order to condemn and criticize it, and of course, to vent his comfort. As a result, he mixed several other novels into Twelve Women in Jinling. I always thought A Mirror was another novel, and Cao Xueqin later incorporated it into A Dream of Red Mansions. Qin Keqing, Yule and Jia Rui are all romantic figures in Bao Jian. This idea coincides with Mr Yu Pingbo's point of view. There are also records of loving monks. Is it another book?

Repeated revisions and the integration of different novels will naturally lead to the situation of paying attention to one thing and losing the other, and mistakes are inevitable.

Of course, Cao Xueqin still remembers the twelve women in Jinling. Just like first love, when people arrive in Beijing, their hearts are brought to Beijing. After that, although I read it for ten years, I added and deleted it five times, but I can never erase the voice and smile of the twelve women in Jinling.

Therefore, the "Twelve Women in Jinling" in A Dream of Red Mansions does not refer specifically to Jinling, but Lin Daiyu is from Suzhou.

The third point: It was not Cao Xueqin who first put forward the phrase "Twelve Women in Jinling".

After studying, Mr. Zhou thinks that Twelve Women in Jinling (the police fantasy list) should be divided into nine grades, each grade has 12 women, counting 108 people. These women in Twelve Women in Jinling are all from Jinling (province).

A dream of red mansions "gourd monk sentenced to gourd case" for the fourth time, handed it to Jia Yucun in front of the "official protection" that read:

Jia is real, the golden horse in the hall.

Epang Palace, 300 Li, can't live in Jinling Yishi.

The East China Sea is short of white jade beds, and the Dragon King came to invite King Jinling.

In good years and heavy snow, pearls are as gold as iron.

Jia Yucun's supplementary prize is Yingtianfu, which is undoubtedly the official protection symbol of Jinling Province. Jia, Wang, Shi, Xue and Jinling's "four great families" mentioned in the "symbol of official protection" that "all have ties and relatives, all have honor, support, cover and care." After reading these words, I can better understand that "Twelve Women in Jinling" is about women in Jinling (province).

In fact, it was not Cao Xueqin or A Dream of Red Mansions that first put forward the phrase "Twelve Women in Jinling". In the Ming Dynasty, Feng Menglong wrote Twelve Hairpins in his Love History. In the love history, there was a comment at the back of the article, which said, "Wang said,' During the Jiajing period, Jinling was the richest and Pingkang was extremely prosperous. Famous actresses are Liu, Dong, Luo and Qian. This is the original text of Twelve Hairpins in Jinling. It should be emphasized that Twelve Hairpins in Jinling here are Twelve Hairpins in a brothel, not Twelve Hairpins in a Red Chamber.

Sadly, the fate of Twelve Hairpins in a brothel is numerous, and the fate of Twelve Hairpins in a brothel is "a thousand caves in a brothel". In the era when women have no social status, whether it is "a talented woman's wealth is better than a fairy" or "one or two skirts can get married", it can only be "Wan Yan's cup (sadness)".

What do you think of this? Do you think the reason why Lin Daiyu and Miaoyu are included in Twelve Women in Jinling is correct? Suggestions are welcome.

Hello, I'm Guo Feng.

Jinling, as mentioned by the twelve women in Jinling, generally refers to a place name, which is Nanjing today. There is also a city in Nanjing called Stone Town, which is also the old capital of the Ming Dynasty. So Jinling means Ming Dynasty. The eighty-and-a-half-edition Dream of Red Mansions is called The Story of the Stone. It means: Stone Town! Because it's too obvious. Therefore, Cao Xueqin omitted a word and fabricated an extremely absurd fairy story, which led the reader's thoughts wrongly and played down the danger of Shicheng story.

In A Dream of Red Mansions, there is a passage about unofficial history in Nanming. The Red Chamber, the Jia Zhu Dynasty, lived in seclusion in the Ming Dynasty.

The so-called twelve women in Jinling are those outstanding celebrities in the Ming Dynasty. The appearance of the supplement shows that these celebrities are not just 12, but countless. 12 Everyone in Chai Jin alludes to a Nanming character. There are indignation, approval, praise, condemnation and regret.

The whole Red Chamber is a history of the rise and fall of Nanming. The so-called Jia is nothing more than to cover up the history of family death and blood. Moreover, the family is connected with the country, and the country is the Ming Dynasty. A Dream of Red Mansions is a political novel against Manchu and mourning Ming Dynasty.

The characters and place names in A Dream of Red Mansions are all false, but the truth is hidden and false words exist. Lin Daiyu is not from Yangzhou, and Miaoyu is not from Suzhou.

Daiyu is not from Yangzhou. Her father is an official in Yangzhou, so she lives in Yangzhou. She wrote in the book that Lin Ruhai was born in Gusu, so it can't be said that living in Yangzhou is a native of Yangzhou and Daiyu is a native of Gusu.

The fairy fantasy of the police and bandits is talking about your province, which shows that Jinling is not a city, but a province.

A province covers a large area, including at least Gusu,

Miaoyu is from Yangzhou and belongs to Jinling.

The problem should be Li Wan and Qin Keqing. They are all from Beijing, but not from Jinling. Maybe the author thinks that a woman who marries her in-laws is a man.

Jia Jiazu was originally from Jinling, so although Jia Fu is in Beijing, it is also considered Jinling.

The other three of the four families also belong to Jinling, which is mentioned in Jia Yucun's "official protector".

Jia is real, the golden horse in the hall.

Epang Palace, 300 Li, can't live in Jinling Yishi.

The East China Sea is short of white jade beds, and the Dragon King came to invite King Jinling.

In good years and heavy snow, pearls are as gold as iron.

The main characters and events in A Dream of Red Mansions are set in Jinling, and the capital is written in some places for some reasons.

Daiyu, Miaoyu and others all belong to Jinling.

After all, Cao Xueqin has made additions and deletions for more than ten years, and it is impossible to make such low-level mistakes.

Next to it is red inkstone, watching and commenting from time to time.

All are under the jurisdiction of Jiangsu Province.

No matter where they come from, they are all in Jinling when they dream, so they are called "Twelve Women of Jinling".

In the fifth round of A Dream of Red Mansions, Jia Baoyu saw the "unlucky teacher" [the official version of the twelve women in Jinling] in the celestial world, wondering why only twelve women were recorded. Warning magic way: there are many women in a province, but choose the one that matters. Jinling is Baoyu's hometown, and the police office only records Baoyu's hometown Jinling, just like the birthplace of today's hukou. Baoyu now lives in Kyoto, Baochai, Daiyu and Miaoyu all live in Jiafu, and naturally everyone in Jiafu belongs to Jinling. 【 Twelve Women in Jinling 】 actually records the twelve women in Jiafu, and also represents the twelve women in Jinling. In the final analysis, 【 Twelve Women of Jiafu 】 is also called 【 Twelve Women of Jinling 】.
