The giant chain of existence is an idea, which is the concept chain of the whole history of western thought from Plato to19th century. Although it is historical, this chain is not composed of major events, but one thought unit after another.
In the process of the formation and evolution of the giant chain itself, three principles must be met: the principle of full rationality, the principle of sufficiency and the principle of continuity.
The principle of sufficient reason: the reason for the existence of the world; 2. Enrichment principle: the world is full of all kinds of species, and there is no species that is not in this world; 3. Continuity principle: There is no gap between any two levels.
