The earliest edition of The Analects of Confucius

According to the Records of Hanshu Yiwenzhi, The Analects of Confucius has three versions: "The Analects of Confucius has 2 1 ancient prose. Outside the wall of Confucius, there are two Zhang Zi. Article 22. Ask the gentleman how much he knows. Twenty articles by Lu and nineteen biographies. " Han Shu's Records of Literature and Art: "There is a saying of Qilu in Han Xing. On Qi, Changyi Wang Ji, Shaofu Song Guai, Yu, Shangshuling Chongzong, Jiaodong Yongsheng, only Wang Yang is famous. Gong Fen, Xiahou Sheng, Shaofu Changxin, Wei Xian, Lu Fuqing and former general Xiao He are all famous artists. " Zhang finally walked in the forefront of the world.

Lulun, 20 articles. Twenty articles by Lu and nineteen articles by Lu. This is the book that can be read now.

Qi Lun, 22 articles. There are also two articles: ask Jun (or ask Yu) to know.

Ancient theory, 2 1 article. Outside the wall of the Confucius Temple, there are two sheets.

Both Lu Lun and Qi Lun have biographies of teachers. At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, the Analects of Confucius written by Professor yu zhang, An Changhou, was named Zhang Houlun, with The Analects of Confucius as the main part and Qi Lun as the supplement. Because of yu zhang's prominent position, his notebook was highly regarded by ordinary Confucian scholars at that time. At the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Zheng Xuan's Textual Research on Lu (Classic Interpretation) was only fifty things. This edition of The Analects was formed on this basis.

There are three kinds of books in the Han Dynasty: The Analects of Confucius has been handed down from generation to generation by Lu people, with 20 articles, and the chapters and sentences of the Analects are based on it today; The Analects of Confucius was handed down by the Qi people. There are two articles, and there are 22 articles, which are * * * more than the Analects. According to legend, the Analects of Confucius originated from the wall of Confucius' residence in Qufu. It divides Yao Yue's Zhang Zi into another article, called Zhang Zi, which has the same name as the original Zhang Zi in The Analects of Confucius, so there are two Zhang Zi, actually twenty-one. Except for the number of articles, these three kinds of books are different in chapter number, text and explanation. Teacher Zhang Yu, who proclaimed himself emperor in the Western Han Dynasty, studied Lu theory first, then Qi theory, and the alignment and Lu factions chose goodness and followed. Zhang Yu's name is An Changhou, so his book is called On Zhang Hou, which was very popular in the Han Dynasty. At the end of Han Dynasty, Zheng Xuan also annotated Lu Lun with reference to Qi Lun and Gu Lun. In the Three Kingdoms period, Yanhe compiled the annotations of the Han and Wei Dynasties, which became The Analects of Confucius, and now it is circulated by Yanhe.
