What official positions did Gao Gonggan hold?

Gao Gonggan, a native of Yulin, Shaanxi Province, was the governor of Taiwan in A.D. 1692, and was also a steward. Later, he was promoted to a provincial judge in Zhejiang Province. He worked in Taiwan Province Province for four years and compiled the 10 volume of Taiwan Province Province, which is called "Gao Zhi". His works during his stay in Taiwan include: Dongning Handyman, Eight Scenes of Taiwan, Cheng Tai Ji, Taiwan Province Provincial Government and so on. Gao Gonggan's poems describe life in Taiwan Province Province, including the scenery and natural environment of Taiwan Province Province, Zheng Chenggong's performance in fighting to drive Holland back to Taiwan Province, and his admiration for the Japanese invaders. When describing the importance of Taiwan Province Province's strategic position, the poet wrote: "The natural barrier lies across the sea and mountains, and the southeast is half of Taiwan Province Province" (Dongning Miscellaneous Use I). Describing Zheng Chenggong's battle to drive the Dutch back to Taiwan, he wrote: "The morning light blew the horn and resounded through the boundless battlefield near Lumen" (Dongning Zayong II). In the poet's pen, the natural scenery of Taiwan Province Province is also magnificent: "stag ears in Haimen, spring tide comes" ("deer ears spring tide"). The profound meaning of this poem lies in writing nature on the surface and praising Zheng Chenggong in depth. Deer's Ear Gate is located in the South China Sea, which is very dangerous. Zheng Chenggong drove Hetai to attack Tainan from here. Spring tide is not only a spring tide, but also a spring flood brought by Zheng Chenggong to Taiwan Province Province. "Continued County Records of Taiwan Province Province" wrote: "On poetry on the island, famous officials are extremely critical of Sun Sima."
