1, by car:
Out of Hohhot, take Hu Bao Expressway to Baotou; Take Bao' e Expressway to Ordos; Take National Highway 109, pass Ramon Temple, cross the Yellow River and enter Ningxia; Along the national highway 109, through Shizuishan and Pingluo County, enter Yinyao Expressway; Arrive in Yinchuan; Take Yinye Expressway to Ye Sheng; Take the national highway 109, cross Ye Sheng and enter Gansu. Crossing the Yellow River from Jingyuan County to Baiyin City; Take Bailan Expressway and exit Xiaoquangou to Moujiagou Expressway; Take National Highway 109 to Yachuan; Continue to take National Highway 109 to Lanzhou; Along the National Highway 109, pass through Honggu District, enter Qinghai, and go to Xining; Continue along the National Highway 109 and arrive at Huangyuan County, Qinghai Lake, Golmud, Kunlun Pass, Frozen Spring, Wudaoliang, Tuotuo, Hot Spring Station, Tanggula Station and Tanggula Pass successively; Enter Tibet, pass Amdo, Naqu and Dangxiong, and arrive in Lhasa.
Considering the time and cost, I think this route is the best. The whole journey is about 3,350 kilometers, including 367 kilometers of expressway, and the toll of expressway is about 190 yuan.
2. Railways:
There is no through train from Hohhot to Lhasa, so you have to change trains. Personally, I think the best route is to transfer through Lanzhou.
Take K43A (Beijing-Lanzhou) in Hohhot, arrive in Hohhot at 22: 16, leave at 22:24, and arrive in Lanzhou at 14:57 the next day. The journey is 1 144 km, and the time is 16 hours. The train runs every other day.
There is another train, which is 17 17/ 1720 (Hohhot-Chengdu). The departure time of Hohhot is 15:00, and it will arrive at 8:43 Lanzhou time the next day. The whole journey 17 hours and 43 minutes. Ticket price: hard seat 92 yuan, upper berth 65433.
After arriving in Lanzhou, transfer to K9 17 (Lanzhou-Lhasa). The departure time in Lanzhou is 16:45, and the arrival time in Lhasa is 22:30 the next day. The whole journey is 2 188 km, which takes 29 hours and 45 minutes. The fare is 243 yuan for the hard berth, 525 yuan for the upper berth and 50 yuan for the middle berth.
You can also take the bus: T222/T223 (Chongqing-Lhasa), Lanzhou departure time 13:48, and the next day to Lhasa time18: 28;
T264/T265 (Guangzhou-Lhasa), depart from Lanzhou 15:09, and arrive in Lhasa the next day 19: 50;
T 164/T 165 times (Shanghai-Lhasa), starting in Lanzhou 15:09, arriving in Lhasa19: 50;
T27 (Beijing West-Lhasa), depart from Lanzhou 16: 1 1, and arrive in Lhasa at 20: 58 the next day;
T22/T23 (Chengdu-Lhasa), depart from Lanzhou 13:48, and arrive in Lhasa 18:28 the next day.
Personally, I think it is more appropriate to take K9 17 (the starting station) or T22/T23 (to Lhasa earlier) after Lanzhou. After all, Lhasa Railway Station is far from the urban area, and it is not easy to find a place to live. It is better to arrive early.
3. By air:
Now, Lhasa has opened flights to Chengdu, Beijing, Xining, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Zhongdian, Kunming and Changdu, and Hohhot has opened flights to Beijing, Xining, Xi and Guangzhou. You can consult relevant companies in Hohhot for details.
Flying to Lhasa is strongly discouraged. First, the cost is high; second, there is no buffer to adapt to the plateau; third, you can't enjoy the magnificent scenery along the way.
About the cost:
As mentioned above, transportation costs are mainly refueling and tolls. You should be able to figure it out After arriving in Tibet, the accommodation fee in Lhasa will be calculated at 160 yuan/day, and the food cost will depend on your requirements. If it's cheap, 60 yuan/day, if it's expensive, it's out of the question.
The transportation cost after entering Tibet depends on where you want to go. There are many places worth visiting in Tibet. I suggest you stay in Balangxue after you arrive in Lhasa, which is a hotel for self-help tourists. There is a bulletin board in the hotel with a lot of information about self-help tours, so the cost of carpooling will be much lower. It is very affordable to choose areas and partners according to your hobbies.
The specific cost is really difficult to estimate. But according to my experience, according to one day in 250 yuan, it should be enough.
About the best time:
It is best to travel in Tibet in spring and autumn, and there is much rain in summer, which is prone to landslides and other dangers, leading to road interruption; In winter, the snow closes the mountain, the road conditions in Tibet are poor, and the road surface is frozen, which is more dangerous; Personally, I feel that spring is better and the snow in winter has not completely melted. I feel the snow line is very low and the scenery is spectacular! In autumn, after a summer of "high temperature", the snow below will melt and the snow line will rise. Snow mountain seems to be farther away from people.
Dude, this is the route that others have taken. Please refer to.
