Article 3 This Law is applicable to the prevention and control of noise pollution.

Article 14 The competent department of ecological environment in the State Council shall formulate the national standards for the quality of acoustic environment.

The local people's governments at or above the county level shall, according to the national acoustic environmental quality standards, the national spatial planning and the present situation of land use, delimit the applicable areas of various acoustic environmental quality standards within their respective administrative areas; The building areas with residence, scientific research, medical and health care, culture and education, government office and social welfare as the main purposes will be designated as areas where noise-sensitive buildings are concentrated, and the prevention and control of noise pollution will be strengthened.

The scope of application of acoustic environmental quality standards and the scope of concentrated areas of noise-sensitive buildings shall be announced to the public.

Twentieth people's governments at the city and county level where the areas that fail to meet the national standards for the quality of acoustic environment are located shall promptly formulate plans for improving the quality of acoustic environment and their implementation plans, and take effective measures to improve the quality of acoustic environment.

The acoustic environment quality improvement plan and its implementation plan shall be made public.

Article 61 Operators of cultural entertainment, sports, restaurants and other places shall take effective measures to prevent and reduce noise pollution.

Sixty-fifth families and their members should cultivate good habits of reducing noise, take public transport, keep pets and other daily activities as far as possible to avoid noise disturbing the people, understand each other and solve noise disputes, and maintain the quality of the acoustic environment.

When using household appliances, musical instruments or other family activities, we should control the volume or take other effective measures to prevent noise pollution.
