Huangguoshu is not just a waterfall. With Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area as the center, there are many scenic spots such as Shitouzhai Scenic Area, Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, Dishuitan Waterfall Scenic Area, Baling River Canyon Ancient Post Road Scenic Area, Steep Slope Pond Scenic Area and Langgong Scenic Area.
The most prominent scenic spots are the Great Waterfall, the Tianxing Bridge and the steep pond, and among these three prominent scenic spots, there are many unique scenic spots that few people have set foot on.
Due to the location distribution of Huangguoshu Waterfall, Steep Slope Pond and Tianxing Bridge, the overall tour order has been basically determined. Basically, the tour is based on the route of steep slope pond-waterfall-Tianxing Bridge, but the tour route is so detailed that each scenic spot is different.
The new route introduced today can not only avoid congested road sections, but also see many scenery that you can't usually see. You can also shoot Huangguoshu Waterfall on the poster in the best position.

Doupotang
Doupotang Waterfall is the widest waterfall in Huangguoshu Waterfall Group, located at 1 km upstream of Huangguoshu Waterfall. It used to be the location of the theme song of The Journey to the West in the 86th edition, and it was famous for its four masters and apprentices leading horses across the river. When the steep slope pond is flat, the water flow is slow and clear, but when it overflows, the low roar of the waterfall can be heard, which is also the origin of its "roaring waterfall". It is about 6KM away from the Great Falls Scenic Area, and the whole scenic area is small. It's enough to see the waterfall for half an hour.
Scenic route
General route: Doupotang Scenic Gate-Doupotang Waterfall-Side Gate Exit/Doupotang Scenic Gate-Doupotang Waterfall-Observation Platform-Gaojiabaozi-Eighty-one Difficult Monument-Xiake Pavilion-Doupotang Gate Take sightseeing bus.
New route: VIP exclusive entrance to Doupotang Scenic Area-Doupotang Waterfall-Observation Deck-Gaojiabaozi-Bayi Anbei-Xiaketing VIP Bus Station
Difference: the route change of steep slope pond is not too big. The general tour route is to enter the scenic spot through the steep slope pond gate. After seeing the waterfall, you can leave from the side door, or you can enter the westward tour through the observation deck located on the bridge, and then leave from the gate of the steep slope pond after swimming. This new route is only a short walk away. You can take a bus directly to Xiake Pavilion, the next scenic spot, without going back to the sightseeing bus bus stop in Doupotang.

1. Doupotang Waterfall
The 83rd edition of The Journey to the West, the ending song, was filmed here, and it was a scene where Tang Priest and his disciples jumped over a waterfall. The upper reaches of the steep slope pond waterfall are Baishui River. When horizontal, Baishui River has small flow and clear water flow. The steep slope pond waterfall is very delicate and charming. Waterfalls are evenly distributed along the gentle waterfall surface, dancing lightly on the scales of travertine beach, such as a thin translucent veil or an open plain silk fan shining silver in the sun, so some people call it the' bride's veil'. However, in the flood season, Baishui River turned yellow because it carried a lot of upstream sediment washed down by the flood, and the steep slope pond waterfall lost its beauty when it was flat in the past and became extremely fierce and magnificent.
2. Journey to the West.
Along the steep pond waterfall, I walked past a stone bridge and vaguely saw a group of little monkeys jumping up and down on the opposite mountain. Walking around, I found that this is the scene of Guo Huashan, a scenic spot that simulates the journey to the west, and it was developed according to the story of the journey to the west. This section of Ximan Road has good scenery and few tourists, which is very suitable for posing.
3. Gaojiapuzi
Pig Bajie has steamed bread to sell. You can buy one and try the old pig. Gaojiapu is equivalent to a small rest stop on the Journey to the West, where you can not only buy steamed bread for the occasion, but also have a toilet nearby. We also sell some drinks and snacks, and the local specialty Rosa roxburghii juice is rich.
The inscription records the eighty-one difficulties that Tang Priest and his disciples encountered in the Western Heaven. The whole journey to the west is not long. When you roughly see the stone tablet in 8 1 difficulty, it's almost at the exit. If children play with old people, they won't feel tired.
5. Xiake Pavilion
After the Xiayuke Pavilion on Ximan Road, the first person who discovered Huangguoshu and spread it to the outside world was our great geographer and traveler Xu Xiake. In a sense, he was the first backpacker in the history of China! Huangguoshu is also famous for his first travel book! In order to commemorate him, there are elements and statues about Xu Xiake in many places in the scenic spot.
Huangguoshu Waterfall
Huangguoshu Waterfall is the core scenic spot in the whole Huangguoshu Waterfall. There are the most famous Huangguoshu Waterfall and water curtain cave, as well as bonsai garden, rhinoceros beach, horseshoe beach and other scenic spots.
Walking around the waterfall, you can watch the waterfall along the path 360. You can watch the waterfall from front, back, left, right, up and down. You can reach out from behind the waterfall and touch the flowing waterfall.
Scenic route
General route: Huangguoshu Waterfall Entrance-Taoyuan-Rhinoceros Pond-Huangguoshu Waterfall-water curtain cave-Suoqiao-Commercial Street-sightseeing bus Bus Station.
New Route: RV Camp-Catholic Church-osawa Pavilion-No.3 Entrance-Observation Deck-VIP Lounge of Hexagonal Pavilion-water curtain cave-Rhinoceros Pond-Huangguoshu Waterfall-Escalator-Exquisite Ceramic Art Garden-Huangguoshu Hotel VIP Bus Station.
Difference: These two routes are worlds apart. Although some scenic spots are the same, the new route directly avoids the most congested road section at the entrance. Instead, we spend the same time visiting the RV camp with few people, staggering the congested sections, but consuming the least energy and enjoying more scenery.

1. RV camp
Huangguoshu RV camp is located next to the church in the middle of half a street. It is easy to find. Caravans in the camp are roughly divided into three types: family type, business type and standard type, with a distance between them, and some are surrounded by small fences to form an independent small garden. Although it is a pity that the RV can't be started when it is fixed in the camp, relying on the unique natural scenery of the scenic spot, this RV camping method is especially suitable for families to stay at weekends. You can not only enjoy the comfort of being surrounded by the whole nature, but also experience the fun different from regular travel.
2. Catholic Church
When you see Xiake Pavilion, don't cross the bridge, keep walking, and gradually you will see a lush mountain road, occupying half the street. A European-style building in the distance is a traditional Gothic style, which has been well preserved to this day. There are usually routine activities such as sacrifice. Relying on the surrounding scenery, I can't help but feel the illusion of being in a small European town. This Catholic church was built in the 24th year of Guangxu (1898). He was also a witness to World War II. At that time, American soldiers who helped China pass by would go in and sit for a while.
3. osawa Pavilion
The exhibition hall is opposite the RV camp and located on the expressway. You can see Huangguoshu Waterfall from this angle, and you can clearly see the posture of the whole waterfall. Most importantly, there are not many tourists here. You can make concave shapes as you like, and you don't have to worry about others appearing in the camera. This is definitely the best place to shoot Huangguoshu Waterfall.
4. Observation deck and hexagonal pavilion lounge
In addition to the osawa Pavilion, there is also the best viewing place for Huangguoshu, which is the viewing platform in front of the lounge of the hexagonal pavilion after entering from the No.3 entrance. Here, you can enjoy Huangguoshu Waterfall from the front, or enjoy the magnificence of Huangguoshu in the VIP lounge of the hexagonal pavilion.
Tips:
Half a street is usually less crowded with cars and people. Perfect for shopping and taking photos in the afternoon. However, although there are few cars, we should always pay attention to traffic safety.
Tianxingqiao
Tianxingqiao scenic spot is the largest and the longest among the three scenic spots. The trip will take 4 hours.
Including Tianxing Bonsai Area, Tianxing Cave Scenic Area and Shishui Forest Area. In the first half, there are exterior scenes of Gaoli Laozi and Zhuangzi in the 86th edition of The Journey to the West, while in the second half, there are colorful and ever-changing peaks and rocks.
Scenic route
New route: Gate 2 of Tianxingqiao-Underwater World-Wishing Pool-Tianxing Lake-Gaolaozhuang-Tianxing Cave-Yinlianhua Waterfall-Tianxingqiao Cableway-Exit.
Difference: The two routes are also very different. Compared with the general route, the new route has more scenic spots, and you can see the grotesque cave underwater world that you can't see at ordinary times. Tianxingqiao scenic spot is a very hard scenic spot. Many people may leave after watching the first half, but in fact, the second half of Tianxing Bridge is the most beautiful.

1. Tianxingdong
Tianxingdong Scenic Area is located in the middle of Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, which is a typical karst cave. Tianxing Cave consists of a hall and several side halls. The main landscape in the cave has a strange shape, and the main wonder in the cave is the grape hall like a pile of grapes. If the Eight Immortals cross the sea, stalagmites are scattered on the Liushitan Dam; There are colorful and grotesque stone drops and other shapes here, as if the treasures of the world and objects in the sky are gathered here.
2. Silver Pendant Pool Waterfall
Yinzuitan Waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall in Huangguoshu Waterfall. Located in the Shuishi forest area of Tianxingqiao Scenic Area, it looks like a bucket, sounds like a song and looks like a chain. In Huangguoshu Waterfall, it is neither high nor wide, but its shape is complicated, the waterfall sounds pendulous, with a funnel-shaped top and a trough-shaped pool at the bottom. Stone bags protruding along the pool surface are like lotus leaves, which are stacked one after another. The river spreads evenly on every leaf, and the river flows freely, like thousands of silver chains in Qian Qian, whispering and falling into the molten pool endlessly.
Take the minority route, you need to know
There are many elite attractions in the minority route, but if you want to take the minority route, you need to pay attention to the following points:
All VIP entrances in this route are closed to ordinary tourists. If you want to take a new route, you need to spend more time on the trip, or even walk a long way.
Half a street and VIP lounge are also closed to ordinary tourists, who cannot leave Huangguoshu Hotel as an exit.
In contrast, the boutique routes of Huangguoshu Scenic Area and Mawei Platform are recommended. Not only is there a special shuttle bus to save more time to enjoy the scenery, but also the rest during the journey is carefully considered, so that you can enjoy the Huangguoshu at close range in the exclusive VIP lounge. Tickets for escalators and ropeways are also given in the package, allowing you to visit Huangguoshu from different perspectives.

Self-driving friends can take a bus from Guiyang Jinyang Bus Station to Huangguoshu Bus Station and take a ticket to 55 yuan. After getting off the bus, walk along Yingbin Avenue for about 30 minutes to Huangguoshu Guest House, opposite the main entrance of Huangguoshu City Wetland Park. You can also take the sightseeing bus at the entrance of Huangguoshu Bus Station to Huangguoshu Urban Wetland Park. The fare is about 3-5 yuan.
Friends who go to road trip start from Guiyang, take the Shanghai-Kunming Expressway, get off at Huangguoshu Toll Station, and drive for about 4.5 kilometers in the direction of Huangguoshu Waterfall Scenic Area, where you can see Huangguoshu Urban Wetland Park.

There are two routes from Huangguoshu Waterfall to Xincheng, and the time spent varies from a few minutes to twenty minutes. The specific time depends on the traffic volume and traffic jam in the scenic spot, and the route you want to go should be planned reasonably before taking the bus.
Tickets and passes are valid for two days. You must buy tickets online in advance when traveling in the peak season, and you can pick them up at the electronic ticket vending machine in the scenic spot, which saves a lot of queuing time.
