Hami Airport (ICAO: ZWHM;; IATA:HMI) is a military-civilian airport, located 3 13km east of Dunhuang Airport and 5 14km west of Urumqi International Airport. Hami Airport was built in 1932. The existing Hami military airport was built on the former site of 1964 Hami civil aviation airport. From 198 1 is a military-civilian airport. Its specifications and standards were designed according to the standards of military airports and the use of military aircraft at that time. In 2008, it was expanded and changed to military and civilian use.
