It's a long time since we mentioned the wooden raft shop. As early as the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, the wooden raft shop was under the jurisdiction of Gu Qinhuai and Xing (Geng) Qiu. In 22 1 year BC, Qin Shihuang destroyed the six countries, unified the world and implemented the county system. The overjoyed Qin Shihuang set up Wude County in the southeast of today's Wuzhi County in order to boast of his literary martial arts. The location of Muluandian was the gateway to the northwest of Wude County at that time, facing Guhuai County across the river. Wude County magistrate set up a guard here and named it "Mulingguan".
By the Wei and Jin Dynasties, Mulingguan had reached a considerable scale. At that time, rich and powerful households set up shops here to do business, and gradually formed a market town. According to legend, there was a civilian named Mu Tuan. She opened a hotel in the market town, and the signboard said "Muluan Store", which sells homemade wine.
Literati, poets and nobles at that time often patronized the Muluan store, where they drank and made friends. It is said that the famous "Seven Sages of Bamboo Forest" in history is also a frequent visitor here.
Because the Yellow River, located in the lower reaches of the Qinhe River, is also an important dock for the communication of materials between Henan and Shaanxi, there are many people on business trips here, and people are proud of drinking the wine brewed by Muluan women, so Muluan Store has a prosperous business and a great reputation for a while. Muluan Hall has gradually become the main symbol of Mulingguan.
Time flies, people remember the wooden raft shop and gradually forget Mulingguan. The name of Muluan Hall eventually replaced Mulingguan. There is also a saying among the local people that "you only know Muluandian, but you don't know Wuzhi County".
(Selected from Legend of Wu Zhi Place Names, Wang Guangxian, etc. ) Luan tree is a very old tree species. "Shan Hai Jing Huang Da Nan Jing": "In the desert, there is a wooden name called Luan. In the Han Dynasty, Ban Gu wrote, "The tomb of the son of heaven is three meters high and the trees are loose;" Half of the princes, the tree is cypress; The doctor is eight feet, and the tree attracts the wind. " It can be seen that Lu 'an was a noble tree species that could be juxtaposed with pine and cypress in ancient times.
Shen Songkuo's Notes on Meng Qian's Notes on Supplementary Notes on Volume III: There are two kinds of bears, both of which are tree-born. In fact, they can count pearls, which is called wood Luan, which is the herb Luan flower; A cluster can be a stick, which is called "essence disorder" or "essence essence", meaning "essence essence of materia medica".
Li Shizhen's "Compendium of Materia Medica Luan Hua" records that the leaves are as thin as hibiscus, and the flowers are as yellow as Sophora japonica and slightly long. Seed shells are like sour pulp, and some are as solid as ripe peas, comparable to a few beads. His son's name is Mokulanji.
The county seat is called Mucheng Town, and its full name should be called Muluandian Town, and then it is called Muluandian. How did the name of the wooden raft shop come from? Previously, there was a book "The Legend of Wuzhi Place Names", which was named after a woman named Mu Luan opened a shop. The beauty attached to it is vivid and only ends in legend. In fact, most of the mountains, rivers and place names in China are named after trees. The name of Muluan Hall is because there used to be Luan trees, just like Yudian, Huaishuzhuang and Sangpo. Unfortunately, for a long time in the past, there were no Luan trees in Wuzhi County, let alone the Muluan Hall. At the end of last century, the county leaders presided over the introduction of Luan tree from other places and planted it as a street greening tree on the east side of Xinghua Road County Hospital, which can be described as boundless merits. Now these Luan trees are in their places, the soil and water are ripe and they are growing vigorously.
In the past, Muluandian was an important town in northern Henan, and there was a saying that only Muluandian was known, but Wuzhi County was unknown. Now the scope of Wuzhi County has covered a considerable part of Longyuan Town, and it is very inaccurate to say that the county is in Muluandian. Fortunately, our people keep pace with the times and call the county seat Wu Zhi directly. When they get on the bus, they say they are going to Wu Zhi. Everyone knows where you're going and won't ask. Now I only know Wuzhi County, but I don't know Muluandian. I'm afraid the traces left by the neighboring wooden raft shops are only wooden raft trees, wooden raft roads and wooden raft communities. The rapid development of our county since the reform and opening up can also be seen in the changes in the Muluan Hall.
In the fifty-fourth year of Qianlong, Records of Huaiqing County Volume IV included an ancient poem sung by Niu Mouhuai Palace during the reign of Kangxi: Muluanxiong Town was beside the city, and the artistic ancestor died from then on. On both sides of the river, poplars embrace Qinshui, and the original grass is the Yellow River. The ancient warblers in Dan Tao Temple are all old, and Tianyi Tomb has been missing for many years. Chatting in front of Miaole Tower, there are roses hanging in Qingfeng Ridge. A poem covers many places of interest in our county, especially added.

The previous articles "Legend of Wuzhi Place Names", "Muluan Book" and "Muluan Hall" all tried to discuss the origin of the place names of Muluan Hall. In my opinion, The Legend of Wuzhi Place Names and Muluandian are just legends. The article "Muluan Book and Muluan Canon" quotes literature, and it is more credible to find the relationship between Muluan Canon and Muluan Book. But there is still unfinished business.
According to "Flora of China", Luan tree is also called doctor tree and lantern tree, and its scientific name is Luan tree. It is a tree species of Koelreuteria of Sapindaceae. Luan tree is also commonly known as wood Luan, cash cow and stone Luan. Luan tree is a deciduous tree with regular tree shape and umbrella crown. The leaves are luxuriant and beautiful, the tender leaves are red in spring, the flowers are full of golden trees in summer, and the capsules in autumn are like red lanterns, which are gorgeous and pleasing to the eye. When the breeze blows, they are like two bells, so they are also called "cash cows". Seeds can be made into beads, so they are especially common in temples.
Luan tree is a temperate and subtropical tree species. Like warm and humid climate; Like light, but also a little tolerant and semi-yin; I like to grow in limestone soil, but also tolerant to salt and alkali, cold, drought, barren and short-term waterlogging. Deep-rooted, moderate growth, slower when young, faster later. It has strong resistance to wind, dust pollution, sulfur dioxide and ozone. Branches and leaves have bactericidal effect; Flowers are excellent honey sources, and yellow dyes can be extracted. Its fruit can be used for oil extraction, and can also be used for women to wash their hair and moisten it.
Koelreuteria paniculata has strong adaptability and obvious seasonal characteristics. It is an ideal tree species for street, courtyard shading and other landscape greening, and also a good tree species planted in industrial polluted areas. It has been praised as a precious tree species in Asia by forest farmers in Taiwan Province Province, and should be vigorously promoted.
The tender buds of Luan tree in early spring are also called magnolia buds or magnolia vegetables. Grain Rain broke magnolia buds before and after, boiled, rinsed and soaked for three days. Drain it until it is not bitter. Chopped salad, fried meat, stuffing and fried rice are delicious. It can be used to cook shallots mixed with magnolia buds, magnolia bud dipping sauce, magnolia bud scrambled eggs, magnolia bud jiaozi steamed stuffed bun and so on. And it can also be dehydrated and preserved for timely consumption (much like catkin processing and eating methods). This dish is delicious, odorless, crispy and chewy, and it is a nutritious wild vegetable. The textual research on the ancient name of "Mulan Store" in Wu Zhi's Legend of Place Names has gone astray, only echoing the word "store", making up a "Mulan Girl" and an altar of turbid wine, and bringing it into a "Muling Pass" in Yishui, Shandong Province during the Warring States Period, which is far-fetched and ridiculous. This is really a guide. In addition, this statement has been recognized by today's people, causing a lot of harm. Here are two or three:
1. The cultural symbol named "Mulan Store" is Luanshu, an ancient and precious tree species, which has been lost. Wuzhi folks have called the existing old city "Mulan Store" since ancient times. This Mulan shop, also called Muluan, has trees and buds, hardships and struggles. It has nothing to do with beauty, wine and booze;
Secondly, it misinterprets the core orientation of the traditional culture of Wuzhi people. Luan tree is easy to cultivate and manage, cold-resistant, drought-resistant, salt-resistant and waterlogging-resistant, suitable for barren land and climate in our county. It was born in poverty and became a Buddhist temple, reflecting the tragic history of Wuzhi people's indomitable, humble and salt-tolerant struggle against flooding since ancient times. In a sense, it represents the traditional character of Wuzhi people, embodies the core value of Wuzhi traditional culture, and has positive orientation and rich connotation. Can it be compared with drinking, living in a dream and dying?
Third, the economic value of Luan tree is neglected. Luan tree can not only improve the atmospheric environment, but also has great economic value. According to relevant information, Luan tree is a treasure, and its leaves can be extracted with tannin extract, which can be used for tanning, as mineral processing inhibitor, boiler water treatment agent, drilling mud diluent and metal surface corrosion inhibitor, and condensed tannin extract can also be used as woodworking adhesive; Its flowers can be used as yellow dyes; The oil content of seed kernel of Luan tree is 54.04%. Seed oil contains five kinds of saturated fatty acids and three kinds of unsaturated fatty acids, among which the content of unsaturated fatty acids is 75.26%, mainly including oleic acid (3 1.07%), eicosapentaenoic acid (35.07%) and erucic acid (9. 12%). It has high nutritional value and can be used to produce high-grade plant skin care products, as well as soap and lubricating oil. Abandoning the cultural origin of Luanshu and Wuzhi, abandoning the status of Luanshu as an authentic place of origin, and ignoring its planting, development and utilization are tantamount to throwing away the precious heritage left by our ancestors.
In addition, the fruit of Luan tree is shaped like a bead, also called Mokulanji, which can be used to count beads. Wuzhi County was established in Sui and Tang Dynasties, and Buddhism prevailed in Tang Dynasty. Wuzhi County has a well-developed traffic, surrounded by Buddhist shrines such as Miaole Temple, Qianfo Temple, Kannonji, Dongyue Temple and Yueshan Temple, and even Muluan (Mulan) shop in Mucang Lanji. The connection with Buddhism needs to be explored by people with heart. (Xianping)
