BEC oral test form and scoring standard

The test is divided into two stages:

The first stage: take the way of communication between examiners and candidates, about 4-5 minutes. Candidates should answer the examiner's questions or respond to the examiner's requirements. The questions asked by the examiner are mainly aimed at the specific content of business communication.

The second stage: take the way of communication between candidates, and the time is about 3-4 minutes. Each group of candidates draws two groups of cards, two cards in each group, one card describing the specific content and the other card aiming at its content. Candidates can get a card describing the specific content and questions related to another candidate's card, and have enough time to read the card. The content of communication is limited to these two groups of cards.

Scoring standard: the test is divided into three grades according to pronunciation, accuracy, fluency and communication ability. The scores are 3 points, 2 points, 1 minute respectively.

The specific criteria are as follows:

1. Pronunciation (including sound size, stress, intonation and tone)

3 points: Although there are some pronunciation errors and signs of being influenced by the mother tongue, it is easier to understand and the cadence is smoother.

2 points: Because pronunciation is influenced by mother tongue, some words are difficult to understand, and some pronunciation errors are seriously influenced by mother tongue.

1: The examinee's pronunciation is difficult to understand. Pronunciation errors often occur, obviously influenced by mother tongue, and intonation errors are intermittent, which causes trouble to listeners.

2. Accuracy (including grammar, words and ways of speaking)

3 points: there are mistakes, but the meaning can basically be expressed clearly. The adopted sentence structure is standard, but it is difficult to deal with complex sentence results. Familiar topics are full of vocabulary, but lack of expressive power.

2 points: Some meanings are unclear. Most of the sentences used are basic sentences, with errors in grammar and vocabulary, and they have certain vocabulary description ability for familiar topics.

1: the expression is inexplicable, the basic sentence structure is wrong, and there is a lack of vocabulary for communication.

3. Fluency (including speed of speech and collocation of long and short sentences)

3 points: The listener feels good, although there is a pause, but fluent, able to organize the language and express it in longer sentences, but some sentences are not complete enough.

2 points: The listener needs patience. Although there is a pause, it is basically smooth and the sentence is short.

1: The listener needs to be patient. Frequent interruptions and long intervals.

4. Communication skills (including independence, flexibility and mastery of conversation style)

3 points: basically independent. It is only sometimes necessary to express it with the help or tips of other candidates. Take the lead in communication with other candidates and answer questions raised by other candidates quickly.

2 points: Sometimes you need to rely on the help of others to complete the expression. There is a communication problem. Can't answer other candidates' questions quickly.

1: You need to rely on the help of others to complete the expression. Master some sentence patterns but use them improperly, and respond slowly or even unresponsively to other candidates' questions.
