Shan Lun, a physiologist of dryland agriculture and crop drought resistance, academician of China Academy of Engineering, party member, CPC. 193365438+1October19 was born in Longkou City, Shandong Province. 1954 graduated from the department of agronomy of Shandong Agricultural College, and 1962 obtained the associate doctor's degree from the Institute of Plant Physiology of the former Soviet Academy of Sciences. Former Deputy Director of Northwest Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, China Academy of Sciences. He is currently a researcher at the Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, director of academic committee, director of academic committee of the State Key Laboratory of Soil and Water Loss and Dryland Agriculture on the Loess Plateau, chairman of the Science and Technology Association of Northwest A&F University, vice chairman of the Academic Degree Committee of Northwest A&F University, consultant of Shaanxi Provincial Decision-making Advisory Committee, consultant of the Science and Technology Committee of Ministry of Water Resources, consultant of National Water Saving Irrigation Yangling Engineering Center, honorary director of China Water Conservancy Society and honorary member of China Plant Physiology Society. Honorary chairman of Shaanxi Soil and Water Conservation Society, honorary editor-in-chief of PEDOSPHERE and Agricultural Research in Arid Areas, and consultant to journals such as Journal of Applied Ecology, Journal of Soil and Water Conservation, Journal of Soil and Water Conservation in China, Seabuckthorn, Journal of Ecology, China Agricultural Science, Northwest Botany Journal, Disaster Science, Journal of Geographical Science and Environment, etc. He is a deputy to the Ninth National People's Congress. 1995 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering.
He has been engaged in the research on drought-resistance physiology of plants, dryland agriculture and water-saving agriculture for a long time, presided over many national, provincial (ministerial) and international cooperation projects, and made systematic work on the physiological and ecological basis of dryland agriculture, the comprehensive ways to improve the utilization efficiency of farmland precipitation in semi-arid areas, and the theory and technology of efficient utilization of limited irrigation water. According to the relationship between plant water demand and agricultural water environment in semi-arid areas, he put forward the scientific concept of crop adaptability to changeable low water environment, and proved that many crops are moderately short of water at a certain growth stage, which can produce compensation effects in growth, physiology and yield formation, and the goal of saving water and increasing production can be realized at the same time, providing a strong basis for popularizing water-saving agriculture. At present, we are committed to the research on the overall drought resistance, water-saving agricultural biology and agricultural development strategy of plants in semi-arid areas of China, which is centered on the Loess Plateau.
He has won 2 national science and technology progress awards, 9 provincial (ministerial) science and technology progress awards, edited 4 monographs, published more than 240 academic papers, trained more than 20 master's and doctoral students, 199 1 won the Zhu Kezhen Science Award of China Academy of Sciences, and 19 1 won the title of outstanding expert in Shaanxi Province.
