My choice to come to China is simple. I chose to come to China for two main reasons. First of all, I want to do something unusual. For most Australians, China is still a mysterious land, so it is very unusual for an Australian aged 18 to live in China. The second reason is that when I return to my Australian home, my life experience in China will provide me with a career path, because as China becomes a bigger and bigger market, I am attracted to more and more jobs focusing on China.
I have three goals in China. The first thing is to have fun. The second is to help my students learn English, and the third is to learn to speak Chinese. So far, I know that I am achieving goal one and goal three, and I hope I can achieve goal two.
