The overall planning of the park is designed by a British company, with a total area of 140.3 hectares and a total investment of 1 100 million yuan. The century flower clock is controlled by satellite instruments with an error of only 0.03 seconds, which is scientific, artistic and practical. The park was officially opened to the public on April 6, 2000. Jing Tian Lake: When you walk into the gate of Century Park 1, you will see Jing Tian Lake with an area of 12.5 hectares. Artificial excavation, the deepest 5 meters, is the largest artificial lake in Shanghai at present. Jing Tian Lake is connected with Zhangjiabang on the outer edge of the park, and a sluice is built in the east of the lake to control the water level in the lake. Whenever the breeze blows, the lake is sparkling and blue; Every day, the air is fresh, the lake is as clear as a mirror, and the clouds in the sky are vividly reflected, hence the name Jing Tian Lake.
Open-air Music Square: The open-air theater built on the slope is located on the west side of Century Park, covering an area of 8,000 square meters. The auditorium in the front area can accommodate 2,500 people, and it can receive 4,000 tourists when it is fully open. There is a stage and music cover, lighting control, sound control and some auxiliary rooms in front of the auditorium, which is the largest artificial open-air theater in China at present. This music cover made of white steel is used to enhance the sound effect. It can collect the singer's voice and transmit it to the audience. The voice is unusually clear and loud. The square faces the green water and backs to the mountains, which is a great enjoyment for tourists to entertain themselves.
