Dehong Teachers College is an ordinary university organized by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government and headed by the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education. The school is located in mangshi, the capital of Dehong Autonomous Prefecture. Its predecessor was Dehong National Normal School, Dehong Agricultural School and Dehong Teachers College Class, which was founded in 1955. 1in April, 1984, with the approval of Yunnan provincial people's government, Dehong Education College was established on the basis of Dehong Teachers College. In 2004 and 2006, Dehong National Normal School and Dehong Agricultural School were merged into Dehong Education College respectively. In 2006, Dehong Teachers College was established on the basis of Dehong Education College.
