Yu-Rong Expressway starts from Chen Jiaqiao Street in Shapingba District of Chongqing in the east, passes through Chongqing Ring Expressway, and connects Bishan District, Tongliang District and Dazu District of Chongqing, Anyue County, Lezhi County and jianyang city of Sichuan Province, and reaches Chengdu Ring Expressway of Sichuan Province in the west.
Yu-Rong Expressway is a two-way six-lane expressway (excluding emergency lanes) with a total length of 253.56 kilometers, including 78.56 kilometers in Chongqing and 175 kilometers in Sichuan.
Construction background
Before the opening of Chongqing-Chengdu Expressway, the highway connection between Chongqing and Chengdu in Sichuan mainly depended on Chongqing-Kunming-Xiamen-Chengdu Expressway (365,438+05 km) and Suiyu-Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway (274km). Chongqing-Kunming Expressway 1995 has been completed and opened to traffic, with low technical standards, and some sections are overloaded, which is prone to congestion and traffic accidents. Suiyu Expressway was opened at the end of 2007, which diverted some direct traffic from Chongqing to Chengdu, and played a certain role in relieving the traffic pressure of Chongqing-Kunming Expressway, but it still failed to meet the requirements of the most convenient direct traffic between Sichuan and Chongqing, and the traffic volume has become saturated.

The design standard is to be designed according to the urban expressway standard, with six lanes in two directions and a design speed of 80 kilometers per hour.
