Dashihua, at first glance, the name is a bit awkward. It is a familiar name for residents in Cuiyuan District 1, Xihu District, Hangzhou. Born in 1926 1 1, this old man has already entered an octogenarian, and still leads community medical volunteers to do primary medical services with full enthusiasm:
For more than 30 years, Grandmother has treated more than 600 residents in the community, and the residents treat her as a family member. She recorded more than 30 patient diagnosis documents and piled them in a cabinet nearly half a meter high; The "Dashihua Studio" led by her has become a "medical station" for community residents, and its services have also extended from the initial hypertension monitoring to health lectures and consultations, medical guidance, psychological consultation for the elderly, and emergency treatment of medical emergencies.
What inspired Grandmother to stick to it for 30 years was the family motto she set in the year when she married her wife-the heart of saving difficulties for herself, making it convenient for others and serving the people.
When she got married, she decided that her family training daughter was 1 year old. In order to practice family training, she left her hometown to find her grandmother, smiling and dressed in fashion: her hair was short and white, slightly permed and combed meticulously; The coat is a black printed short-sleeved shirt with party emblem on the left chest; The lower part of the body is a dark gray plaid skirt. Looking closely, she also tattooed her eyebrows and wore a pair of white earrings. In her nineties, she speaks loudly and walks lightly.
Grandma's house is small, simple in decoration, but full of strong scholarly atmosphere. Calligraphy and painting and books can be seen everywhere in the room. The family motto of "Leave difficulties to yourself and give them to others conveniently" is hung in a conspicuous place on the porch at the door. "Do you want to drink coffee? I'll make you a cup of coffee. " It turns out that grandma's wife is an overseas Chinese. After the founding of New China, she returned from the United States and devoted herself to the construction of the motherland. In decades of getting along with her wife, she also developed the habit of drinking coffee and eating toast.
"My wife is a mechanical engineer. She usually likes reading books and newspapers, especially ancient literature. This family training is what he thinks. " Grandmother said, "We just got married that year (1952). At that time, his work was very busy, and he often ran around in order to complete various tasks as soon as possible and efficiently. I was born in the 1920s, grew up before the founding of New China, experienced wars, and fully understood his enthusiasm for serving the motherland, so I never complained. One day, he suddenly said to me, let's make a family motto. At first, I thought it was' three chapters of the law' or something, but I didn't expect this sentence. " At this point, grandma smiled.
For decades, grandma and her wife have been sticking to this family motto. 1958 During the Great Leap Forward, Grandma left her daughter, who was only 1 year old, and went to the countryside as a "barefoot doctor" because of Chairman Mao's remark that "the focus of medical and health work should be on the countryside". "At that time, I was the head nurse in the operating room of our hospital (Dalian Medical College). There were originally five nurses in the operating room, but everyone except me had two children and there was no help from the elderly at home, so I took the lead in signing up. " Grandmother said that according to the plan, the members of the medical team are changed every three years, but their children are too young, and the oldest is only 9 years old. Thinking that her daughter could still ask her mother for help, she chose to stay in the countryside for eight years without hesitation.
Recalling the days when I went to the countryside in those years, my grandmother was very emotional. She said that when she went home for the first time after three years ago, her daughter just looked at her and smiled, without letting her hug her. That time, she cried, and she found that her daughter no longer knew her. But in the past eight years, she has also learned a lot, and also exercised her spirit of hard work and courage to take responsibility, which is also a portrayal of her practice of family training.
"In the past eight years, I have delivered hundreds of children, and I am happy to see each new student." Grandma said that although the rural conditions were difficult and the folk customs were simple, she was deeply loved by the local people, but everyone liked to find her when she had a headache.
1986, moved to the first district of Cuiyuan, intending to support the elderly and not wanting to "return to the old job".
1986, grandma lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Cuiyuan District 1. At that time, she had retired and originally planned to live in beautiful Hangzhou. However, before getting familiar with the environment, she started primary medical services again.
"At that time, the conditions here were not very good. It can be said that the houses are gone, let alone the bus. Therefore, it is very inconvenient for residents to see a doctor. It's okay during the day, but not at night, especially in case of emergency, or pregnant women are about to give birth. " Grandma said that for this reason, she discussed with the neighborhood Committee and made two decisions: one was to buy a tricycle to deal with medical emergencies; Second, for those who need injections and dressing changes every day, but are inconvenient to move, she is responsible for free home service every day. Gradually, grandma is becoming more and more popular in the community. Walking on the road, even children will call her "hello, grandma."
1988, the state began to conduct a general survey of hypertension, and grandma, who cares about residents' health, volunteered to be a census taker. Because each resident has different time at home, she often needs to run up and down, sometimes ten times a night. At that time, she was 62 years old.
Many things happen. After 10 days of investigation, the results came out. At that time, there were more than 500 hypertensive patients in the first district of Cuiyuan, and the awareness rate of most hypertension was very low, let alone formal treatment.
Grandmother saw this situation and immediately reported to the community leaders, and immediately set up a "blood pressure monitoring point" to control everyone's blood pressure, which is also the prototype of "Dashihua Studio".
With the joint efforts of grandma and three other retired doctors in the community, the blood pressure of hypertensive patients in Cuiyuan District 1 has been effectively controlled, and almost no one has had cardiovascular and cerebrovascular accidents related to hypertension.
The telephone number of grandma's house is even called the "health hotline" in the community by residents. There are always five or six people calling for advice every day. Sometimes when she is uncertain, grandma will write it down and ask her daughter and son-in-law who are also doctors at night.
Many years later, there was an experience that grandma still remembered: one night, a young man called and said that his pregnant wife was a little dizzy, hoping grandma would help her. After hanging up the phone, grandma went out with the sphygmomanometer and stethoscope at home. When she arrived at the young man's house, she found that the pregnant woman looked a little pale. When her blood pressure was measured, her systolic blood pressure exceeded 200 mm Hg. What surprised her even more was that the young man's wife began to twitch (eclampsia during pregnancy) before he could contact the ambulance. When the fire was urgent, the grandmother used her quick wits and sent the young man's wife to the hospital at the first time, thus keeping the mother and son safe. After the event, even the doctors repeatedly lamented that it would be troublesome to be late. Although it was only a "transit", Grandma's late-night visits touched the doctors and the families of the young men present.
She applied to join the party in her eighties. She is the youngest party member in the family.
Every Friday at 8: 30 am-11:00 am, it is a fixed free clinic day for Dashihua Studio. This time will become the most lively and warm place in the community. The service of the studio is mainly undertaken by grandma and three other retired doctors in the community. Everyone takes turns once a week and holidays are uninterrupted.
Grandma, as the leader of the studio, is also responsible for the logistics of the studio. She is meticulous in her work and divides the residents who come to consult according to the four areas of "southeast and northwest". Every resident has his own unique "file", and the blood pressure, glycemic index, medication and complications of the elderly are carefully recorded. "If the blood pressure is high, we will use a red pen to record and focus on nursing. We also have a record of what medicine everyone takes to see which medicine is more effective. " Grandma said.
Two years ago, Grandma spent money to buy more than 360 notebooks that were only the size of a palm and could be put in her pocket, and wrote down the names of each patient for them to carry with them. She joked that this is the medical record book in the community.
20 16 12 18 is a significant day for grandma. On this day, her dream finally came true-she officially became a * * * party member. "For decades, I have always wanted to join the party, even dreaming. My daughter and son-in-law joined the Communist Party of China (CPC) as early as the 1980s, and even my granddaughter joined the Party before me. However, for various reasons, I didn't submit my application for joining the Party until 20 13. " Grandma said.
Grandma wrote a love letter to encourage her wife who was ill in hospital.
In life, grandma is a considerate and romantic person. Grandma's daughter and son-in-law are very busy at work, so it's good to go home at 7 o'clock every night. Therefore, in recent years, she has been responsible for the dinner of her daughter and son-in-law. Every day after breakfast, she goes to the market to buy food and pick the freshest ones. Get up after a nap to wash and pick vegetables. Marinate the salt first and start cooking around 5 pm. Yesterday, she went to the market and bought melons, pork, mung beans, amaranth and fish. "I am idle at home and can do as much as I can." Grandma said.
Speaking of his wife, grandma smiled again. In the middle of the wall of her living room, there is a photo of two old people who have been married for 60 years. The pictures on both sides are a tiger and a horse. "I belong to the tiger, he belongs to the horse. We have been together for decades, and we have never been popular once. He is very kind to me. Since we didn't take wedding photos when we got married, he took our photos to the photo studio to PS. " Say that finish, grandma immediately took us into the bedroom, pointing to two "wedding photos" on the wall, saying that the photos are the first two, and the clothes and background are not their own.
"Grandma, you must have been beautiful when you were young?" Faced with this question, Grandmother confidently replied: "Of course, otherwise how could he (his wife) value me!"
Of course, Grandmother also loves her wife deeply. That year, his wife was ill and hospitalized, and the torture of the disease made the old man feel bad. Grandmother wrote him an emotional love letter. "I have to let him know that our whole family loves him." Grandma said. After reading the love letter, my wife was very excited. She wrote back a letter in English, telling Grandma that she would love her all her life. Now, my wife has passed away, but when I think of the days with him, my grandmother is still full of happiness.
I hope that this kind of positive energy will increase and make life better.
