How long does it take to get high marks and prepare for GMAT?

Speaking of GMAT exam, it will naturally be associated with 700+, because this score is the approximate score of most students who want to apply for an ideal business school.

I'm sure you must have searched a lot of experience posts about preparing for GMAT on the Internet. Some candidates get 700+ for preparing for the exam in one month, and some candidates have not broken up with them in four wars.

Seeing countless sun stickers, I made a simulation myself but found it difficult to panic. So, does this exam give many business students a headache? How long does it take to review 700+?

Today, Wuhan Shenyou GMAT explains it clearly with official data.

First, the global average preparation data.

The above picture is the official data of GMAC in 2065438+08. From this picture, we can see that:

l? 1% GMAT candidates take less than 20 hours to prepare for the exam.

l? 2 1% GMAT candidates prepare for the exam within 2 1-50 hours.

l? 28% of GMAT candidates prepare for the exam in 5 1- 100 hours.

l? 30% GMAT candidates spend more than 100 hours preparing for the exam.

Combining the above two pictures, we can see that 30% of the candidates spend more than 100 hours preparing for the exam, and the test scores are directly proportional to the preparation time.

Therefore, if you want to get 700+ in GMAT, you must first ensure sufficient preparation time.

Second, the global 700+ preparation time

As can be seen from the above figure, the preparation time for 700+ candidates worldwide is 125 hours!

The preparation time for candidates with scores between 600 and 700 is 122 hours.

Third, global data comparison.

From the global data, the average preparation time of GMAT candidates in Asia is 100 hour, ranking first in the world, while the preparation time in other countries and regions is relatively short, which is related to the poor English level of GMAT candidates in China compared with other regions. After all, our mother tongue is not English.

Fourth, Wuhan Shenyou GMAT suggested.

From the above data analysis, it can be seen that Asian students must have enough review time on GMAT 700+, but it does not mean that the longer the preparation time, the better their grades.

The GMAT test is a "short-term" breakthrough test, and the official suggested effective preparation time is 150 hours. The preparation front of any exam should not be too long, and the score of the exam is also related to many factors, such as English language ability, self-discipline, learning ability and so on.

The following is the review time suggested by Wuhan Shenyou GMAT for candidates with different foundations:

The first category: on-the-job preparation+IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90 or so.

Suggested preparation time, three and a half months.

Category II: On-the-job preparation+IELTS 7 or TOEFL 100 or above.

Suggested preparation time, three months.

The third category: full-time preparation+IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL 90 or so.

Suggested preparation time, two and a half months.

The fourth category: full-time preparation+IELTS 7 or TOEFL 100 or above.

Suggested preparation time, two months.

On the whole, we suggest that the time for preparing for the exam for the first time is 2-3 months, so as to reserve enough time for later grading.

Finally, I wish all the students can achieve ideal results and apply to the dream school as soon as possible ~
