Kanas Lake and Gardenyu are located in Burqin County, Altay City, Xinjiang, Baibaha is located in Tiereketi Township, Habahe County, Altay City, Xinjiang, Harmony Grassland is located in the intermountain fault basin where Kanas River and Harmony River meet in Burqin County, and Xiaohei Lake is located in Kanas Mountain area.
Kanas Lake is1374m above sea level, with a storage capacity of 5.38 billion cubic meters, ranking third in China. The deepest elevation of the lake is1181.5m, and the depth of the lake is188.5m. It is the deepest moraine dammed lake in China.

The Harmony River runs through here from northeast to southwest, dividing the grassland into two halves. The forest on Shanyangpo is dense and green, where red deer, marmots and snow chickens live.
