Established in 2003, Chengyi College of Jimei University is an independent college approved by the Ministry of Education and jointly organized by Jimei University, a key construction university in Fujian Province, and the Education Development Foundation of Jimei University in Fujian Province. The college is located in Jimei, Xiamen, Fujian, the hometown of Chen Jiageng, the famous overseas Chinese leader. The College adheres to the socialist orientation, carries forward the spirit of Tan Kah Kee, adheres to the motto of Cheng Yi, and trains applied talents with solid foundation, wide knowledge, obvious professional characteristics, innovative spirit, practical ability and social responsibility to serve economic and social development.

Cheng Yi College is the second one. Cheng Yi College refers to Chengyi College of Jimei University, which is the second batch of enrollment in Fujian, so we usually say Chengyi College of Jimei University is two universities. (Since 20 1 1, the second and third batches of undergraduate college entrance examination in Fujian Province have been merged into the second batch of undergraduate enrollment) Chengyi College of Jimei University was founded in 2003, which is an independent college jointly organized by Jimei University and Fujian Jimei University Education Development Foundation with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and belongs to full-time undergraduate education. Its organizer Jimei University is a public full-time university in Fujian Province and a key university in Fujian Province. It is a university jointly established by the Ministry of Transport and Fujian Province, the former State Oceanic Administration and Fujian Province, and Fujian Province and Xiamen City. It is a doctoral degree awarding unit and a master's degree exemption unit. Located in Jimei Learning Village, Xiamen, it was founded by Mr. Chen Jiageng, a famous overseas Chinese leader. It has a history of one hundred years. At present, the college has set up 12 teaching departments, including economics department, humanities department, sports art department, mechanical engineering department, food engineering department, information engineering department, merchant shipping department, management department, China Soft Internet College, Huawei Information and Network Technology College, Continuing Education College and International College, offering 36 undergraduate majors, initially forming engineering, management, economics, literature and so on.
