Adoption conditions: (1) Both husband and wife are over 30 years old;
(2) Having the ability to raise and educate the adoptee;
(3) Not suffering from diseases that are medically considered unsuitable for adopting children;
(4) The adoption opinions of both husband and wife must be consistent;
(5) If a man without a spouse adopts a female abandoned baby (child), the age difference between the adopter and the adoptee shall be over 40 years old;
(6) The adoptee must be an abandoned baby whose biological parents can't be found or a child raised by a social welfare institution, under the age of 14.
Application procedure:
(1) Documents and certificates to be submitted by users:
A. application form. The content includes the reasons and purposes of adoption, ensuring that the adoptee will not be abandoned, abused and grow up healthily;
B. passport and overseas residence certificate; Hong Kong Identity Card, Hong Kong Residents' Pass to and from the Mainland or Hong Kong Compatriots' Home Visit Permit; Macao resident identity cards, Macao residents' passes to and from the Mainland or Macao compatriots' home visits; A valid residence certificate in Taiwan Province Province and a travel document issued or endorsed by the relevant authorities in People's Republic of China (PRC) and China within the validity period;
C. Certified by foreign diplomatic agencies or institutions authorized by diplomatic authorities, certified by Chinese embassies and consulates in that country, certified by the state-owned competent authorities in the adopter's domicile or certified by the Hong Kong notary office entrusted by the state competent authorities, certified by the Macao authorities or notarized by the notary office in Taiwan Province Province, and proof materials such as the adopter's age, marriage, children, occupation, property, health status and criminal punishment;
D. letter of intent. If the adoptee is over the age of 10, a letter of willingness to be adopted must be submitted.
E. photos. Two-inch group photos of the adopter and the adoptee (color or black and white);
(two) the documents and certificates that should be submitted by the adoption unit:
A, the identity card of the main person in charge; (copy)
B, abandoned babies, children into the children's welfare home of the original records and collective household registration certificate;
C, issued by the public security organs to pick up the abandoned baby, children report the orphan's parents died or the court declared dead;
D. announcement of abandoned baby;
E. The health examination or disability certificate issued by the children's hospital where the adoptee is located before adoption;
F. adoption.
