(A) lost psychology
This is a negative mentality of being disappointed with the consequences or circumstances of one's actions that are far from what is expected. It is related to two factors:
1, I feel that the school or major is not ideal.
This is a common negative psychology that affects freshmen's mood. I think I didn't do well in the exam or fill in my volunteers, which led to the loss of college entrance examination results. Going to college is just a kind of helplessness and a stopgap measure. Entering school with complex emotions such as depression, regret and helplessness is also considering the idea of dropping out of school or changing departments, not to mention the goal and motivation of learning. Because of the non-acceptance and disapproval of the major of the admitted school, I feel confused and disappointed about the future, and my psychological resistance and sense of loss are more serious.
The gap between university and ideal university is too big.
Because of the over-idealization of college life before entering school, college life is imagined as romantic, mysterious and colorful; In addition, I don't know what advantages my school has, but after entering the school, I found that the reality is not exactly the same or I feel very different. This gap has caused a big psychological gap among freshmen, and freshmen are often easy to draw conclusions from the performance phenomena such as campus environment. The high expectation is in great contrast with the real life of the university, which leads to the emotional fluctuation and loss of some freshmen.
Freshmen who are confused should pay attention to get rid of this state as soon as possible, realize the difference between imagination and real university life, face the reality with an optimistic and positive attitude, look at the status quo objectively, at the same time enhance their understanding of the school and specialty, clarify the dialectical relationship between the relative advantages of the school and the size of personal development space, and welcome the new life with a good attitude.
(2) Intermittent (relaxed) psychology: excessive relaxation and laissez-faire.
The highly stressful life experience in high school is a "black June" that students will never forget. After three years of hard work, physical and mental energy is overdrawn, and it is difficult to recover after entering school. In addition, in order to encourage them to enter the university, teachers, parents and friends use the means of "university is paradise", which makes many freshmen feel that "entering the university means enjoyment", and they are addicted to making friends, recognizing their hometown, playing games, reading novels and falling in love all day, which invisibly affects their learning and growth. Therefore, as a freshman, we should pay attention to enhancing the sense of time urgency, setting new goals and stimulating our inner motivation.
(3) Empty psychology
It is caused by the lack of goals, so it can also be called "lack of goals". Because the goal has the function of encouragement, guidance and encouragement, the goal in the middle school stage is very clear and strong, that is, everything strives around the college entrance examination. Faced with the severe pressure of entering a higher school, every student's life is efficient, dedicated and full, and his personal potential is tapped to the maximum extent. After entering the university, I achieved my goal. If I don't build new goals in time, I will lose them. Some freshmen's new life goals have not yet been established, which leads to lack of goals and ideal vacuum, lack of motivation, decline of will and lazy behavior. Therefore, as a freshman, we should pay attention to repositioning ourselves, setting new goals, making good plans and developing ourselves better in the new environment after entering the university.
self-abased
Inferiority is a psychological state that is inferior to others because of comparing one (some) aspects of oneself with others, and it is a low self-evaluation. There are many reasons for this kind of psychology, such as achievement, ability, origin, appearance, temperament, economy, social status, environment and so on. For example, college students generally belong to the upper class in high school, and some are top students. They get more auras and are often praised by teachers and feel good about themselves. After entering the university, I found that there are mountains outside the mountain, and there are days outside. This rearrangement of learning and ability has caused a great psychological gap. Due to the lack of sufficient understanding and preparation for the change of role status, they often have distorted self-evaluation, which leads to inferiority complex. The result of inferiority can not only make people sink, but also lead to compensation and transcendence. Therefore, as a freshman, we should pay attention to a correct and comprehensive understanding and evaluation of ourselves, not to fall into the pain of wrong comparison and lead to inferiority, but also to recognize our strengths, give play to our strengths, learn from each other's strengths, and build new self-confidence in the new environment.
(5) Poor adaptability to the environment
Adaptability is an important indicator of mental health, including natural environment and social environment. The maladjustment of college students is mainly the latter, which refers to the maladjustment to college life and study. Such as: homesickness, can't handle personal life affairs well, and can't handle classmates well. Many freshmen don't know what they should do and do well, and they are not good at arranging their own lives and studies independently, which leads to anxiety, depression, loss and boredom. Some students even fill their inner emptiness with excessive entertainment and love.
The adaptation period of college students is generally about half a year. If you still don't get better after more than half a year, you should consider seeking the help of professional psychological counseling institutions.
(6) Interpersonal communication barriers
The most important thing is communication with classmates. Such as communication barriers between classmates, incompatible living habits and interpersonal conflicts. Personal reasons are often related to self-centeredness, bad personality and poor interpersonal skills.
In interpersonal relationships, the most important thing is the "roommate relationship" that cannot be avoided every day. From self-centeredness to past school collective life, some people will feel at a loss or even out of place, especially in the face of differences in hobbies, eating habits, family status, work and rest habits and so on. For example, a classmate once said that he was particularly disgusted with a roommate. No matter what she did or said, she wanted to yell at her and shut her up. A bad relationship between classmates like this often leads to self-isolation. If it is serious, there will be psychological problems. Reminder: to adapt to college life as soon as possible, the first thing is to deal with interpersonal relationships. No matter in life or study, interpersonal relationship is the main factor that easily leads to psychological problems. If necessary, you can consult your brothers and sisters, teachers and classmates, and seek help from relevant departments of the school, such as psychological counseling centers or peer counseling rooms.
