1On February 26th, 1994, the Chinese and Singaporean governments signed the Agreement between the Government of People's Republic of China (PRC) and the Government of Singapore on Cooperation in the Development and Construction of Suzhou Industrial Park, and established the Sino-Singapore Joint Coordinating Council. On the same day, the Suzhou Municipal Government and the Singapore Consortium signed the General Agreement on Commerce of Suzhou Industrial Park on behalf of the Chinese and New Zealand governments respectively. The above-mentioned documents signed by China and Singapore became the foundation for the establishment of Sino-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd. (CSSD for short).
Development achievements:
After several years of accumulation and improvement, CSSD has formed four main businesses: first-class land development, real estate development and management, municipal public utilities and diversified services.
The first-level development of land includes the comprehensive development represented by the Sino-Singapore Eco-science and Technology City Project. Real estate development and management includes industrial real estate represented by headquarters and commercial and residential real estate business represented by Sino-Singapore Land. Public utilities include municipal, water, electricity and gas services represented by Sino-Singapore public utilities. Diversified services mainly include investment promotion agency, engineering agency, international education, property management and hotel management.
As an important step in the process of listing, CSSD completed the capital increase and share expansion in August 2005, and the number of shareholders increased from 2 to 5. The three new shareholders are China-Hong Kong Investment Co., Ltd., Xingong Group Private Limited and Suzhou New Area High-tech Industry Co., Ltd. ..
