After reading the second article, I want to talk about two inspirations I got. What kind of people can succeed? To accomplish a great thing? I seem to have some ideas about this problem. First, let's see what kind of person Mahon Mette is. He is a cunning, energetic, decisive and cruel man. Among these adjectives, the first word I want to mention is energetic. In the general history of China, I still remember the energetic characteristics of Qin Shihuang. Only energetic people can do one thing day after day and night after night. Otherwise, he will be exhausted by endless difficulties. Only energetic people can encourage their peers when they are tired and seize the opportunity to catch up and beat their opponents when they are tired. The other two words I want to mention are decisiveness and cruelty. Those who achieve great things can always achieve their goals by any means. They are like a pack of wolves looking for food. At the moment after they made their decision, they started to take action, and at the same time, they were convinced that their decision was correct. They don't hesitate before human feelings, so some people say that these people are cruel. They don't hesitate in the face of temptation, so some people say that these people are firm. In fact, a person who can achieve great things will not waste his energy on anything irrelevant to his goal, nor will he let anyone stop him.
Second, true dreamers and bigots are more likely to succeed. Jobs and Musk are dreamers who dare to imagine boldly, and they are crazy about their goals. They dare to invest their wealth in their dreams, even if the benefits seem far away. Mahon Mette in this article is such a person. In order to break the Byzantine wall, Mahon Mette tried to find a new type of cannon at all costs. As the book says: at all costs-this kind of announcement itself can often awaken creativity and motivation. Only a madman like Mahon Mette can build a cannon of this size, and only a madman like Mahon Mette can transport a thousand tons of cannons to Byzantium in a few months. Only a real madman can know every high slope, every depression and every river before and after the Great Wall like the back of his hand. Only a real madman can get hundreds of ships across the rugged headland. Only a real madman rode around all the stations of the whole army and personally inspired tens of thousands of soldiers to fight. Perhaps, people in Byzantium lacked this kind of madman, so they forgot the small gate in Capota, Guan Kai, and destroyed Byzantium with their own hands.
It seems impossible to occupy the last glory of Europe-Byzantium. However, putting the impossible into practice is the real sign of extraordinary will.
These are my thoughts on the first two stories of When the Stars of Man Shine. I hope we can get some opinions and discuss with each other.
