Development history of microreactor

Dupont Company of the United States took the lead in the basic research on the application of micro-chemical system in the production of hazardous chemicals in the early 1990s, and successfully developed a micro-chemical device for synthesizing methyl isocyanate. PNNL (Pacific Northwest T National LBA Laboratory) mainly studies the miniaturization of hydrogen source system in fuel cells. The main structure of the reactor is a cross-flow microchannel heat exchanger. Compared with the traditional reactor, the reactor volume can be reduced by 1 ~ 2 orders of magnitude under the same treatment capacity. Micro-reactor has shown great advantages in mass transfer, heat transfer and constant temperature, and has attracted great interest and attention from experts in related fields since its advent.

Ehrfeld Mikrotechnik BTS (EMB) is the world's leading supplier of microreactor technology. In the field of chemical and fine chemical products production, Miprowa series microreactors developed by EMB have been applied in process development and production by major chemical companies in the world. In the field of pharmaceutical production, EMB cooperated with Longsha on 20 10 to introduce Flowplate series microreactors that meet GMP certification requirements to the market.
