Select the command Select Burner from the Burner menu in the main menu, and find Image.

Exit the wizard mode, select Copy Disc in New Disc, select the storage location and file name of the image file in Image File option, then cancel Delete Image File after Copy Disc, and check Write in Burn option. At this point, the OK button becomes the Copy button. Click the "Copy" button, put in the source CD, and copy the CD image file to the directory you set.
There's another way. Click the Select Burner command, and then select a burner. Select "Copy CD", check "Analog" in the "Burn" option, and remove the check mark before "Write" (this step is essential! )。 Then click the "Analog Write" button to copy the CD. After copying the source disk, select "Cancel" in the pop-up "Waiting for Media" window, and you can find the file with the suffix NRG in the previously set storage location of "Image File", which is the made CD image file.
2. Make hard disk image file
Nero can also make files on hard disk into mirror files, which is different from making mirror files on CD. Create a new "data disc" and drag the source files or folders to be mirrored into the edit box. After adding, you can start burning. In the pop-up window for burning CD, select Create Image File, in the pop-up window for saving image file, select the saving directory, name and type of image file, and click Save to start burning (as shown in figure 1). After the burning process, the hard disk file image was successfully made.
(Tip: Not only NRG format but also the most common ISO format can be used to make hard disk image files. You can select the image file type.
