What is the process of resignation in general companies?

As an old professional who has resigned three times, today I will explain the resignation process of a general company.

Step 1: Submit your resignation to the supervisor.

I usually talk to my immediate supervisor after confirming my idea of leaving my job. One is to inform him of his intention to leave, and the other is to give him time to report to the company or superiors. After getting the approval of the supervisor, he will tell me that the follow-up process can be communicated with HR in detail, and he will confirm which colleague will take over my work.

Step 2: communicate with HR.

Communicating with HR is a very important step. Generally, I will confirm with HR the date after one month, the remaining vacation days, whether I can get the resignation certificate on the last day, whether I will pay five insurances and one fund this month, when I will pay the salary in the last month, and whether I need to initiate a resignation application in the system.

Step 3: Sort out the resignation materials and hand them in.

Normally, my supervisor will assign me a successor to take charge of the follow-up work. Then I need to sort out my work materials and the unfinished work progress in the last month and give them to the designated colleagues. I will put all the work in a folder, put the unfinished work into an excel form, and send the email to the superior leaders and handover colleagues, leaving traces and delivering it one week in advance.

Step 4: Stick to your last post.

I was still an employee of the company before I got the certificate of resignation, so I generally won't be late and leave early in the last month, and I will follow up the handover work, which is also the basic accomplishment of the workplace. On the last day, you can invite your colleagues to dinner or drink milk tea, get rid of the work group and get the resignation certificate, even if you officially resign.
