Henry McMaster, Deputy Governor of South Carolina, Bobby Hitt, Director of South Carolina Commerce Bureau, Hong Chu, Minister of Economy and Commerce of Chinese Embassy in the United States, Cao Jianglin, General Manager of China Building Materials Group, Zhang Yuqiang, President of China Jushi Group and Chairman and CEO of Jushi Group, all laid the foundation for the project.
The state and county governments will provide China Jushi with perfect power, energy, water and other resources and supporting facilities, as well as excellent technical service teams and high-quality workers. China Jushi invested 300 million US dollars to build a factory in PINEVIEW Industrial Park, covering an area of 900 mu, becoming the largest investment enterprise in Richland County since 1984.
Hong Chu said in his speech:
China enterprises began to invest in South Carolina in 2000, and now more than 30 China enterprises have taken root in this land. China Jushi began to sell its products in the United States more than 20 years ago.
The foundation of this project is of milestone significance, which will help to provide better services to customers in the United States and North China, and enhance the management technology level and global competitiveness of Jushi. China and the United States are each other's second largest trading partners. South Carolina has frequent trade with China, and China is its largest export market. South Carolina's high productivity and government efficiency make it an ideal place to attract investment.
China Jushi successfully invested and built factories in the United States, which will set an example for more Chinese-funded enterprises in the United States. The groundbreaking ceremony is a good start. Next, the smooth operation of the project depends on the support of all parties. The Chinese Embassy in the United States will work with you to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
