After Alibaba landed in Cambodia, it will build a central logistics hub in the Greater Mekong region.

In recent months, experienced sellers know how slow the logistics in Vietnam and Thailand is. Since Sino-Vietnamese relations are a long-term issue, Alibaba has turned its attention to Cambodia.

According to foreign media reports, Alibaba planned to build Cambodia into a central logistics hub in the Greater Mekong region within four to five years last year. In the future, the competition between Chinese and American e-commerce giants in Southeast Asia will become more and more fierce, so it is very necessary to plan and optimize logistics infrastructure in advance.

"Cambodia is an ideal location for logistics transshipment center, because we can serve many markets such as Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar," said Kun Li Yu, general manager of global distribution of Cainiao Company.

He added that as long as Cambodia has bonded warehouses, it can store products from China and other countries and distribute the goods to its own and neighboring markets.

Since 20 16 acquired Lazada and 20 18 strategically invested in Indonesian e-commerce giant Tokopedia, the momentum of Ali Group's expansion in Southeast Asia has advanced by leaps and bounds, and its entry into Cambodia is crucial to its global strategy.

Kun Li Yu said that the good relationship between China and Cambodia has provided Alibaba with resources and convenient policy support that neighboring countries do not have, which makes it easier for us to do business.

In contrast, Vietnam and Thailand have strict customs and foreign policies, and there are no economic zones and bonded warehouses.

"In these countries (Vietnam, Thailand), it is difficult to store foreign products upside down, but the location here (Cambodia) is very good because it is located in the center of the Mekong River region. This is why we think Cambodia has incomparable advantages over Thailand and Vietnam, "he added.

Apart from policy supervision, Cambodia, as a highly dollarized country (note: although the "dollarization" of Riel has been advocated since 20 16, the main currency in circulation in Cambodia is the US dollar), which is beneficial to currency exchange and simplifies payment procedures compared with the Vietnamese dong and the Thai baht.

"We also provide services for other trading companies and e-commerce companies, and there will be a lot of capital exchanges, so our place must have a good capital flow policy," said Kun Li Yu.

In fact, in addition to the advantages of international friendly relations, location and currency, in order to facilitate the entry of foreign capital, Cambodia is gradually simplifying the company registration procedures, and more and more foreign-funded enterprises are stationed in Cambodia, including many Fortune 500 enterprises.

On the one hand, the presence of well-known foreign companies undoubtedly proves the prospect of Cambodia's economic development, while the vitality and risk of a country or region are obvious only by the actual capital inflow and outflow, and the sense of smell of capital is the most sensitive and reliable.

On the other hand, a large number of foreign-funded enterprises entered Cambodia, followed by resident executives and technicians, which increased the housing demand; What's more, these foreign executives, Cambodian dignitaries, business travelers and intellectuals who have seen the "big scene" are hungry for high-quality housing in Cambodia.

As the first high-end garden-style existing home community in the capital Phnom Penh, ONE PARK Phnom Penh 1 is located in the center of PPCC Phnom Penh, with all-round mature facilities such as commerce, transportation, culture, government affairs and education. It is bound to attract a large number of high-net-worth people to gather here and comprehensively enhance the value of assets.
