According to official website of Zhongxing Network Group, Zhongxing Network Group is a central enterprise. A central enterprise is a wholly state-owned or state-controlled enterprise directly managed by the Central People's Government (the State Council) or entrusted by the state-owned assets supervision and administration institution to exercise the investor's duties, and its leading body is entrusted by the Central Organization Department, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council or other central ministries (associations).
Zhongxing Network Group was established in April, 20021. It is the only central enterprise engaged in the design, construction and operation of national satellite internet, and also the core strength and organizational platform for the development of satellite internet in China.
