As a large state-owned enterprise in China, CITIC Group has been supported by the China Municipal Government. As a part of CITIC Group, CITIC Bank is also classified as a state-owned enterprise, not a central enterprise. Central enterprises refer to enterprises directly managed by the central government, while CITIC Bank, as a subsidiary of CITIC Group, is not directly under the jurisdiction of the central government.
