Brief introduction of Pohang Iron and Steel Company of Korea

Posco Iron and Steel Corporation (Korea:; English: Posco, (KSE: 005490) (new york Stock Exchange code: PKX) (Zhengdong 1: 54 12) (London Stock Exchange code: PIDD) is short for Posco, which is the largest steel company in Korea and one of the largest companies in the world. In 2007, it ranked fifth in the world (China's largest Baosteel ranked sixth), with an annual output of 32 million tons.

South Korea's Pohang Iron and Steel Company raised its profit target for 2007 to 4.6 trillion won (US$ 5 billion), an increase of 7% over the original forecast; Revenue is expected to increase by 10% to 22.7 trillion won (US$ 24.76 billion), with an increase of10 billion won.
