Will SF build an international airport?

On September 19, it was reported that yesterday, the person in charge of Ezhou Municipal Government informed that the Hubei International Logistics Hub Project (also known as SF International Airport) was progressing very smoothly, and the pre-feasibility study was submitted for approval and entered the final sprint stage. It is expected that construction will start within this year.

It is understood that SF International Airport (including the park) is an important measure for Hubei Province to build an international freight corridor. The total investment of the project is 6 1 100 million yuan, and the planned land area is 75 square kilometers. It is estimated that by 2025 and 2045, the annual freight throughput will reach 2.45 million tons and 7.652 million tons respectively.

The completion of SF Airport will form a dual hub of air passenger and cargo in Wuhan city circle, making Wuhan the fourth city in China with two large transport airports after Beijing, Shanghai and Chengdu.
