Shenhua Group's coal-to-liquid/coal chemical development strategy and Shenhua Baotou coal-to-olefin project;

Shenhua Group attaches great importance to national energy strategic security, vigorously develops coal instead of oil industry, and gradually establishes four business segments: R&D, engineering construction, production and operation, and logistics sales. It is planned to establish seven large-scale coal-to-liquid/coal chemical bases in four provinces and regions including Inner Mongolia, Ningxia, Shaanxi and Xinjiang. It is estimated that the total investment will exceed 400 billion yuan, and by 2020, the annual output of coal-to-liquid and coal-based products will reach 30 million tons. The construction of three major coal chemical bases has been substantially started. First, the world's first 6,543.8+0,000 tons/year coal-to-oil industrial plant built in Erdos City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will be put into operation in 2008. 2. The 600,000-ton/year coal-to-olefin (MTP) plant built in Yinchuan City, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region will be put into operation on 20 10; 3. The 600,000-ton/year coal-to-olefin (MTO) plant built in Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region will be mechanically completed by the end of 2009 and put into operation at 20 10. In addition, Shenhua Group and Dow Chemical Company of the United States are jointly conducting a feasibility study, and the 6.5438+00000 tons/year coal-to-olefin project to be built in Yulin, Shaanxi Province is scheduled to be put into production in 2065.438+02. The coal-to-oil projects planned in Xinjiang and other places have also started the preliminary work.

Shenhua Baotou Coal to Olefin Project was approved by the National Development and Reform Commission in February 2006. The construction site is located 20 kilometers southwest of Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with a total investment of 654.38+065 billion yuan. The construction scale is: 6.5438+800,000 tons/year coal to methanol, 600,000 tons/year methanol to olefins, 300,000 tons/year polyethylene and 300,000 tons/year. The core technology is methanol to olefin technology with domestic independent intellectual property rights, and other main process devices are internationally advanced coal chemical/petrochemical technologies, including GE coal water slurry gasification technology, low-temperature methanol washing technology of Linde Company in Germany, methanol synthesis technology of DAVY Company in Britain, polypropylene technology of Dow Company in the United States and polyethylene technology of UNIVATION Company in the United States. According to the reply, the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has provided 654.38+25 million tons of coal resources for this project. The designed annual coal consumption is 5 million tons and the annual output of petrochemical products such as polyethylene and polypropylene is 750,000 tons. According to the current market price of coal and polyolefin products, the total cost per ton of polyolefin is about 6000 yuan, and the factory can realize sales income of 8 billion yuan and profit of 4 billion yuan every year. At present, the overall design and foundation design of the project have been completed, the detailed design work has been carried out one after another, and the on-site construction has been fully launched. It is planned to complete the machinery by the end of 2009 and put it into operation on 20 10.

The main project of coal-to-olefin demonstration project mainly includes 6.5438+0.8 million tons/year coal-to-methanol plant, 300,000 tons/year polyethylene plant and 300,000 tons/year polypropylene plant, with a total investment of about 65.438+0.7 billion yuan, which will be borne by Baotou Coal Chemical Company of Shenhua Group. The project is located in Jiuyuan Industrial Park, Baotou City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. On August 20 10, the whole process of the project was put into trial operation. This project is the first successful practice of industrialization and commercial operation of coal-to-olefin process route in the world.
