The Bank of China Building is 70 stories high (305 meters, and the flagpole is 369 meters high). 1989 to 1992 are the tallest buildings in Hong Kong and Asia, and the first one is outside the United States. Bank of China Tower was originally built by Bank of China Hong Kong Branch, and its Garden Road entrance is still marked "Bank of China" instead of BOCHK Hong Kong. After the ownership was transferred to BOC Hongkong, China Bank rented back several floors for office use.
