Caterpillar marine power system has been innovated again on the basis of its popular Caterpillar 3500 series marine engines. These engines use some new hardware, including optimized injector injection angle and combustion chamber, high-efficiency turbocharger, A3 ECU (electronic control unit), drilling connecting rod and high-flow piston cooling nozzle. For 16 cylinder high-power engine, the combination of modular pulse exhaust manifold and wastegate valve can bring the best turbocharging efficiency. Manifold can store the energy of exhaust pulse, so that the engine turbocharger can achieve the highest thermal efficiency. The wastegate valve provides excellent acceleration performance at low speed and medium speed.
