Chemical Machinery Factory (hereinafter referred to as Nanhua Machinery) is the "hometown" of the first high-pressure vessel in China, and it is a specialized manufacturer of large-scale devices such as fertilizer, chemical industry and petrochemical industry of the former Ministry of Chemical Industry. Over the years, it has made great contributions to the development of chemical fertilizer, chemical industry and petrochemical industry in China and the localization of large-scale devices. It has been confirmed by China Petrochemical Group Company as a major equipment localization manufacturing base, maintenance service base and petrochemical machinery export base.

Nanhua Machinery has more than 2,500 employees, including more than 600 engineers and managers. Young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions at the national level (professor-level senior engineer) 1 person, 2 young and middle-aged experts with outstanding contributions at the provincial level and 8 experts enjoying special government allowances. The factory has three kinds of pressure vessel design and manufacturing licenses, national B-class waste heat boiler manufacturing license, ASME authorized design and manufacturing license and U, U2, S steel seal, ISO900 1 quality system certification certificate, etc. The factory covers an area of 470,000 square meters, with an industrial building area of 6,543,800+7,000 square meters. At present, it has nearly 800 sets of main equipment such as metal cutting, forming, welding, heat treatment and nondestructive testing.

Nanhua machinery has been committed to the localization of large-scale chemical fertilizers, chemicals, petrochemicals, fine chemicals, chemical fibers and polyester equipment, and has achieved fruitful results. He has made outstanding contributions to the localization of major technical equipment such as chemical fertilizer, petrochemical and chemical fiber, and won many national awards. A number of products have filled the domestic gap. In recent years, South China Machinery has continuously strengthened its own transformation and technological progress, tracked the international advanced level, tapped its potential, and firmly grasped the domestic market, while actively participating in international cooperation and competition. It has successively cooperated with Japanese Toyo, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Mitsui Shipbuilding, Italian Snam Engineering Company, German Wood, Lurgi, TGE Company, Hyundai Korea, American General Electric, DuPont, Exxon and other companies and manufacturers, and completed a number of high-quality and high-level cooperation. The products are exported to Europe, India and many countries and regions in Southeast Asia, and have absorbed many advanced technologies and management experiences, laying a solid foundation for the technological innovation of South China Machinery and the localization of large petrochemical plants. Nanhua Company successfully developed vanadium catalyst for sulfuric acid production in 195 1 year, and gradually built the first catalyst factory in China on this basis, which can produce many varieties and series of products. 1956, the first high-pressure vessel and the first large-scale pyrite fluidized roasting furnace in China were successfully trial-produced, and white coal was used instead of coke to produce feed gas for synthetic ammonia for the first time. In 1960s, the first pilot plant of urea in China was built, and the pilot plants of ammonium phosphate and nitrophosphate were also successful, which laid a technical foundation for the development of high-efficiency compound fertilizer. Since 1970s, great achievements have been made, such as the spherical vanadium catalyst prepared by jet boiling granulation technology won the national invention award, the low nickel methane catalyst filled the national blank, and 1983 successfully manufactured a urea synthesis tower with a diameter of 2.8m. Since its establishment, Nanhua Company has trained and transported nearly 10,000 technicians, managers and skilled workers for nearly 100 enterprises and departments across the country, and has undertaken many foreign engineering tasks.
