Since its establishment more than two years ago, with the cordial care and strong support of the Henan Provincial Party Committee, the provincial government, the Provincial Department of Land and Resources, the Provincial Mining Association and other departments, the company has fully implemented Scientific Outlook on Development, aimed at creating a first-class mining enterprise, accelerated its own mine construction while obtaining resources, and actively explored new ways for comprehensive development and utilization of resources and coordinated development of the environment. First, implement Scientific Outlook on Development, standardize and speed up its own mine construction.
According to the actual situation of the enterprise, the mining branch company has formulated the development plan for 2006-2009: speed up the construction of its own mines, scientifically standardize the self-built stopes, and build the company into a comprehensive large-scale production and supply base integrating geological exploration, mining, crushing, storage and transportation in about three years, with the ore production capacity reaching 1000 million tons, truly forming a production pattern with self-management as the mainstay and joint operation as the supplement to ensure the safety of ore supply.
Since its establishment more than two years ago, the company has restored and improved the production capacity of old mines to the maximum extent and accelerated the construction of new mines. The self-mining capacity of bauxite increased from 10 10000 tons in 2004 to12.09 million tons in 2006, and the self-mining ratio increased from 3.5% to 14.06%. From June to August this year, 802,700 tons of self-mining was completed, and the proportion of self-mining increased by 1.22%. See the figure below.
By the end of the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, it is planned to invest 3 billion yuan in mine construction, with the scale of self-mining reaching more than 5 million tons and the proportion of self-mining increasing to more than 55%, so as to achieve the goal of self-sufficiency as soon as possible.

Two, strengthen geological exploration, scientific guidance of mine development.
The mining branch shall establish and improve the working mechanism of geological exploration, intensify the supplementary exploration of old mining areas and the geological exploration of newly acquired mining rights, verify the resource reserves of mining areas, avoid risks and guide mine construction.
Over the past two years, it has invested more than 98 million yuan to implement 42 geological exploration projects, with exploration footage of 220,000 meters and new geological reserves of 25 million tons, which has been well received by the Henan Provincial Department of Land and Resources.
Third, comprehensively recycle resources and create resource-saving enterprises.
1. Innovate the new mode of mine construction and standardize the development of small ore block resources.
Aiming at the problem that most of the existing mineral rights resources are small in scale and the ore bodies are discontinuous, it is difficult to realize large-scale development and construction. We entrust qualified and powerful construction units through bidding, take charge of organizing design and site supervision in strict accordance with national and Henan laws and regulations on safety and environmental protection, and standardize the development and utilization of small ore block resources on the premise of ensuring norms, standards and safety.
Over the past two years, five ore blocks have been commissioned, two of which have been mined on a large scale, with a cumulative output of 460 thousand tons; In 2007, it is planned to entrust nine ore sections, of which four have signed entrustment agreements, and the other five are working hard to improve the information and go through relevant procedures.
2. Innovate mining technology, improve resource recovery rate and extend mine service life.
In view of the poor occurrence conditions of resources in some mining areas, the mining branch increased investment in science and technology, selected new equipment, carried out research on mining technology innovation, strengthened stope management, and adhered to the principle of "mining rich to help the poor, mining difficult, mining thick and mining thin, mining superior and mining inferior". Through the exploitation of lean ore and residual ore, the self-mining recovery rate of the mine reached 93%, including 96% and 77% of open-pit mining, which was recovered to the maximum extent.
3. Adhere to scientific ore blending and improve the level of comprehensive utilization of resources.
Chinalco pioneered the internationally advanced Bayer process for producing alumina by mineral processing, which has been successfully applied to one or two alumina production lines of Zhongzhou Branch.
Zhongzhou branch is carrying out industrial test of aluminum-silicon slag sintering method, and has achieved substantial results. After the test is successful, the recovery rate of alumina can be effectively improved.
After the application of the above two technical achievements, a large number of low-grade bauxite in Henan Province will be comprehensively utilized.
Mining Branch insists on scientific ore blending and comprehensive utilization of bauxite resources. Since 2004, the grade of alumina ore has decreased by 2.79 A/S, and a large number of low-grade ores in Henan Province have been utilized.
Chinalco has recovered rare metals such as gallium associated with bauxite and built a gallium refining production line. Only the gallium production capacity of Henan Branch exceeds 1.5 tons/year, and the sales income exceeds 60 million yuan/year.
Mining branch focuses on resource exploration and development, deep bauxite mineralization law, coal-aluminum associated ore development and so on. Among them, the technical achievement of "Research on Prospecting Prediction Method of Concealed Bauxite in Henan Province" was awarded as one of the technical innovation achievements of Henan Province 10 in 2007.
Fourth, enterprises and localities should join hands to save resources.
The mining branch strengthens the contact with the local government, and takes the opportunity of non-coal mine rectification to increase the protection of resources within the mining area. At the same time, the mines set up a joint lightning protection team and hired security companies to protect the uncontrollable mining areas.
Over the past two years, * * * has stopped more than 550 illegal mining cases (times) and sealed up more than 420 mining pits (wells), thus avoiding the loss of resources to the maximum extent.
Five, strengthen environmental protection, promote the harmonious development of enterprises and local and environmental.
1. Establish a health, safety and environmental management system and strengthen environmental governance.
The mining branch earnestly implements the national and local environmental protection policies and regulations, establishes and improves the health, safety and environment management system suitable for the modern enterprise system, strictly implements the "three simultaneities" system of environmental protection facilities and main projects and the environmental impact assessment system, and unswervingly follows the road of coordinated development of mineral resources development and utilization and environmental protection.
For example, the comprehensive treatment project of Hongyang River in Leigou mining area of Duancun Village, the mining branch invested 60 million yuan. The government's project approval can not only effectively solve the problem of 70% mine crushing in Leigou mining area of Duancun, but more importantly, the safety of factories, mines and people's lives and property on both sides of Hongyang River can be effectively guaranteed through river regulation. At the same time, more than 500 mu of cultivated land can be added 1.500 mu, which can reduce soil erosion, improve the ecological environment and promote the harmonious development of local economy and society.
2. Actively promote cleaner production and implement energy conservation and emission reduction.
Self-built stopes of mining companies all carry out slag discharge according to design requirements. The existing and under-construction crushing systems all adopt advanced dust removal equipment, and the mining area regularly sprinkles water to remove dust, so as to control pollution sources, reduce or avoid the generation and discharge of pollutants in the production process, and reduce and eliminate the harm to human health and the environment. The main pollutants meet the national and local discharge standards.
3. Strengthen soil and water conservation and land reclamation.
Adhering to the policy of "protecting while developing, protecting while developing", Mining Branch Company has built its own mines scientifically and standardly, actively assumed social responsibilities, actively implemented environmental protection plans such as soil and water conservation and land reclamation, and adopted the reclamation technology of "integrating mining, drainage, repair, reclamation and planting" to reclaim some barren hills, slopes, waste rock fields and mined-out areas.
Accumulated investment is more than 50 million yuan, and more than 2,400 mu is reclaimed, with a reclamation rate of 33.76%. Over the past two years, the reclaimed land 169. 1 mu, accounting for 34 1 mu, has promoted the harmonious development of enterprises and land.
4. People-oriented, building a safe and clean new mine.
Over the past two years, more than 6 million yuan has been invested in the transformation of some teams and groups in the mine, adding green area 1020 square meters. At present, the company headquarters and four mines are named as provincial civilized units.
