Formerly known as the First Automobile Factory, it is one of the key construction projects of the National First Five-Year Plan. 1953 laid the foundation stone, 1956 completed and put into production the first truck in new China (Jiefang brand), 1958 completed the first car (Dongfeng brand) and the first limousine (Hongqi brand) in new China. After more than 60 years of development, China FAW has established five production bases in Northeast China, North China, East China, South China and Southwest China, and established a global R&D layout.
