Preparation or source
It is made by reacting anhydrous hydrofluoric acid with aluminum hydroxide to generate fluoroaluminate, then reacting with potassium hydroxide at high temperature, filtering, drying, melting and crushing. It can also be prepared by the reaction of aluminum fluoride, ammonium fluoride and potassium chloride.
Packed in gunny bags or woven bags lined with polyethylene film bags, each bag has a net weight of 50 kg. It should be stored in a ventilated and dry warehouse. Stay away from humidity. Do not mix with food or acid. Water, sand and carbon tetrachloride fire extinguishers can be used to extinguish the fire.
