Changhong Meiling Co., Ltd. was approved by Anhui Economic Restructuring Committee 1992, and was restructured from Hefei Meiling Refrigerator General Factory. The company is headquartered in Hefei.
On July 3, 20 18, the full name of the company was changed from Hefei Meiling Co., Ltd. to Changhong Meiling Co., Ltd.

In 2005, through the strategic cooperation with Changhong, Meiling gave full play to the synergistic effect and ushered in new development opportunities. At that time, under the guidance of the company's strategy of building "the king of refrigerators in China and the world's refrigeration carrier", the first phase of Changhong-Meiling High-tech Industrial Park, which covers an area of 1000 mu in Hefei Economic and Technological Development Zone, was officially put into operation.
