How to enter the venture capital industry?
There is some overlap with VC and PE in the fields involved. Returned to China at the end of 2008, and now works for SME Credit of China Development Bank. Because both undergraduate and graduate students have legal backgrounds, they have never studied finance systematically. Most of the contacts in business school are management knowledge, but after entering China Development Bank, most of them are bank credit. I am very interested in enterprise mergers and acquisitions and overseas financing and listing of emerging enterprises, and have been learning systematic financial knowledge by myself, including books on interest rates, monetary policies and financial markets. What I want to know now is whether it is feasible to enter the venture capital industry in a short time with my current qualifications and education. What else do I need to learn? Like knowledge or experience? I hope that friends who work in venture capital or private equity can give reasonable suggestions. For example, the current situation of these industries, the ranking of competitive companies in the industry, and my current qualifications, if I apply, can I be closer to those positions in the company? (Or which positions or fields should I start from before I can finally start my core business? )
