What is a bond index?
Bond index is an index system that reflects the overall trend of bond market price. Bond index, like stock index, is a ratio, and its value reflects the position of the average price calculated by a certain weighted method (such as market value weighted average method) relative to the average price calculated by the same method in the base period of these bonds, and it is a derivative product based on bond prices in the bond market. At present, the main bond indexes in China are China Bond Index compiled by China Securities Depository and Clearing Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as China Securities Clearing Co., Ltd.), CSI Bond Index and SSE Bond Index compiled by CSI Index Co., Ltd.
