Haozhi is an antispasmodic drug, which is mainly used to relieve multiple sclerosis, syringomyelia and spinal cord tumor. It is also a relaxant and sedative for skeletal muscle acting on spinal cord. By exciting receptors, it inhibits the release of excitatory amino acids such as glutamic acid and aspartic acid, thus inhibiting the transmission of monosynaptic and polysynaptic reflexes in the spinal cord and playing an antispasmodic role.
