The armed forces of each ship are slightly different. Although the LST should be a transport service ship, in order to deal with the tactics of * * *, the LST of Taiwan Navy generally has two 40-barrel guns, six single-barrel guns and eight 20-barrel guns. Some ships even installed a 3-inch gun at the bow, which is stronger than the word "Yong". But after reducing some ships, the number of artillery also decreased. There are at least four LCVP boat frames at this level, which are installed on both sides of the bridge; Some are like "Zhongxing" and "Zhongsheng", and even two groups are added to the bow, making a total of six pieces.
The buildings on the "Zhong" deck are painted light gray, and the hull is painted dark gray; Different from other types of ships now, it is closer to the early "forever" style; It may be because the smoke outlet on the side is easy to be polluted, so it must be painted dark. Colored digital squares painted on both sides of the hull indicate the berths of the dinghy, with odd numbers on the starboard side and even numbers on the port side.
Each ship is named after Chinese characters (which means "China-US Alliance", with four landing ships named LSM, LCI and LCU). The first four ships were named Zhonghai, Zhongquan, Zhong Ding and Zhongxing respectively, meaning "prosperous sea power". Then came two more training ships, hence the names "China Patrol" and "China United".
While receiving the first batch of "China Shipping", China Merchants, a state-owned shipping enterprise in China, also received 22 merchant ships of the same type. Most of them are named after the prefix "Zhong" plus "Zhong-106" or "Wan" such as "Wan Li" (only 14 of the 22 ships of China Merchants came to Taiwan). Private Minsheng Company also bought five ships of this class, which were named Ningyuan, Dingyuan, Pingyuan and Suiyuan respectively. Others, such as the General Administration of Relief, Jiangnan Shipyard and Civil Aviation Air Transport Team, once owned one or two. Generally speaking, the number of LST made in the United States received by China after the war may exceed 50, and its affiliation, use and destination are very complicated.
Some of these non-warships were later confiscated by the navy (not all landing ships, but some were used as lighters at the Golden Gate Wharf, such as the Wanfu), some were lost during the Liberation War (such as "Zhong-1 12"), and most of the rest were left in the mainland (such as "Zhong-12" of China Merchants Group)
