Preliminary development of domestic online games
At the beginning of 2003, Shanda had a dispute with ACTOZ, a Korean developer, because of the incident of private service and the default of fee sharing. Through that dispute, we can realize that it is because of the lack of core technology that we become operators, because we become operators and are subject to people, and because we are subject to people, we have to hand over most of our profits. After the dispute, Shanda was completely awakened. It is better to retreat into a net than to fish in the forest! More importantly, after one's own strength reaches a certain level, it's time to make a net. At the beginning of 2004, Shanda has established four independent R&D institutions, and also established online game development research institutions with Zhejiang University and East China Normal University, and acquired a number of online game development enterprises in the United States and Japan. There are other domestic online game manufacturers also on the rise. Macroscopically, the Ministry of Science and Technology has incorporated online game technology into the National 863 Science and Technology Development Plan. Moreover, the School of Software of Sichuan University is the first in China, and three new directions of "game software" have been added to the subject setting.
