After the beginning of World War II, with the help of Pan Am, which owns 25% of the shares of New Mexico Airlines, Mexican Airlines continued to grow and develop. In the 1950s, it began to take over various small competitors, including customers of Aerovias. And opened flights to Madrid and Paris. Aeromexico has added aircraft, including the famous DC-3 and its successor DC-4.

In the late 1950s, the DC-3 passenger plane was replaced by the DC-4 passenger plane.

The 1970s brought great changes to Mexico. In 1970, according to the government's plan, Mexican domestic airlines have rationalized the control of the integrated air transport system. The system included eight smaller operators, but these companies were later dissolved. As early as the 1970s, the DC-6 passenger plane was retired. Aeromexico introduced a new color scheme (orange and black) and changed its company name. In the same year, the start-up users of Mexican Airlines DC- 10-30 plan began to receive DC 10 passenger planes at 1974. In the same year, DC-9-32 passenger plane was also used for short-distance transportation. During this period, the prestige and popularity of airlines have increased significantly. This is because Aeromexico is involved in Mexican films.

In the early 1980s, the fleet expanded and MD-82 passenger planes were used. At the same time, we also began to use new color schemes. The difficult period of Mexican airlines in the late 1980s. The early 1990s was a turbulent time. With the rising cost of fuel, the Gulf War, civil war and constant labor problems make the cost rise. In April, 199 1, Boeing 767 aircraft was used to replace DC- 10 aircraft, which increased the number of 767 fleets and was used for flights from Mexico City to Madrid and Paris as well as Frankfurt and Rome. Later that year, due to other investors, Mexican group failed to complete the acquisition of Continental Airlines.

1993, Mexico Group took over the Mexican market as the second largest airline in Mexico, but it was controversial. All the DC- 10 passenger planes between 1994 and 1995 were grounded, but due to the economic crisis, Aeromexico had to cut flights and its flights to Frankfurt and Rome were also cancelled. Some planes were grounded and laid off.

After the 9 1 1 incident and the Iraq war, Mexico's aviation business deteriorated and it was forced to implement an ambitious fleet transformation plan. In 2003, the company purchased the first Boeing 737-700 aircraft and began to replace the aging DC-9 and MD-80 aircraft. On March 29th, 2006, Andrei Conesa, CEO of Aeromexico, announced that he would use the newly purchased Boeing 777-200ER to fly directly to Japan and Mexico City. This makes Mexico the fourth Latin American airline to fly to Asia. However, Aeromexico later became the only airline to fly in Asia. In June 2006, ILFC and Aeromexico announced that Aeromexico would operate three Boeing 787 aircraft. However, the parent company of Aeromexico is facing huge debts, which forced it to sell Aeromexico in 2007. On June 5438+ 10 of the same year, a one-week auction was held. Finally, I bought Aeromexico with the Sabah family.
