The Origin of Xerox Tongrentang
The founder of Tong Ren Tang, surnamed Le, came to Beijing to make a living during Yongle period of Ming Dynasty. At first, the man surnamed Le made a living by ringing bells and walking around the streets to practice medicine and selling small medicines for others in Beijing. In the early years of Qing Dynasty, his descendant Le Zun received education in Tai Hospital and became a cashier. This laid a favorable foundation for the establishment and development of Tongrentang. In the eighth year of Emperor Kangxi of Qing Dynasty (1669), Le Wugang, the son of Le Zunyu, opened a drugstore of Tong Ren Tang in the south of Dashilan Road with the help of friends. After decades of painstaking efforts, Tongrentang has developed to a certain extent.
