The Institute of Computing Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences began to develop Loongson processor on 200 1. In August 2002, Loongson 1 was the first 32-bit general-purpose CPU in China. In June 2003, Godson 2 was the first 64-bit general-purpose CPU in China, and Godson 3 was the first multi-core general-purpose CPU in China. After years of research and development, Godson CPU design technology has reached the world advanced level. At present, the main applications of Godson CPU involve national security, low-cost personal computers, servers/high-performance computers, industrial terminals, signal processing, network security, industrial control, consumer electronics and many other fields.
