The joint venture company plans to build 6- 10 hydrogen refueling stations in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta in the next five years. By 2030, its scale will be expanded to cover 30 hydrogen refueling stations in the Yangtze River Delta, which can provide hydrogen for about 3,000 fuel cell trucks or buses every day. After the completion of this hydrogen refueling station network, it will accelerate the application of fuel cell vehicles in the fields of road freight, public transportation, municipal services and ports in Shanghai and the Yangtze River Delta region, and help the development of Shanghai national fuel cell vehicle demonstration and application urban agglomeration.
In a short time, these hydrogen stations will use low-emission industrial by-product hydrogen from the local chemical industry. Shell and Shenneng Group will also explore opportunities to directly participate in green hydrogen production and supply green hydrogen to these hydrogen refueling stations in the future.
