In the 1990s, GPHL leased the brand right of canned Wang Laoji to Hong Kong Jiaduobao Group, and since then, Jiaduobao has the exclusive right to operate the red canned Wang Laoji. However, recently, GPHL announced at a press conference that its brand value of "Wang Lao Ji" exceeded 1000 billion yuan, making it the most valuable brand in China. This practice has caused dissatisfaction among many treasure groups. Subsequently, Jiaduobao Group issued a statement on its website, saying that GPHL borrowed the sales data of Wang Laoji, a red can. At the press conference, Jiaduobao Group condemned GPHL's arbitrary management of Wang Laoji herbal tea brand.
In March, GPHL issued a statement: Wang Laoji "integrated" Baiyunshan herbal tea, and transferred Baiyunshan herbal tea into the sales channel of Wang Laoji herbal tea green cans, which was exclusively distributed by Wang Laoji Pharmaceutical.
This statement of GPHL is actually an "ultimatum" to Hong Kong Hongdao Group, the owner of the red can Wang Laoji product, and then to Jiaduobao Group under Hongdao: to terminate Wang Laoji's trademark lease.
